Andrea Thompson set a new women's world record in the loglift with a 135kg performance!
During this year several world records have been broken in strongman sport. Thor Björnsson of Iceland was the first to try to rewrite history. Normally, records have to be broken at official competitions. However, due to the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19, they are still postponed this year, so Thor decided to break the record in his gym in the presence of an official referee and a live broadcast. This, of course, is what happened.
Another rewriting of history continued on 23.5.2020. Scottish strongman Tom Stoltman set a new world record in the Atlas Stones discipline with 286 kg! Subsequently, in the first half of June, American strongman Rob Kearney attempted to break his own national record in loglifting. Rob managed to do it with 216kg.
And we will stay with loglifting for a while, because on Saturday 4.7.2020 strongwoman Andrea Thompson set a new women's world record in loglifting.
