Adam Bishop has become the strongest man in the UK!

On the day (January 18th) that Conor McGregor took down Cerrone at the #UFC246 gala, a new decade of strongman competitions began, namelyBritain's Strongest Man 2020. The competitions took place in Sheffield at the Fly DSA Arena, where more than 8000 spectators came to support the British strongmen! Last year's champion Graham Hicks didn't race this year so everything was set for the crowning of the new UK's Strongest Man.

There were a total of fiveevents in which thirteen competitors competed. And what events were they?

Event 1 - Log Lift Ladder

The first discipline that lay before the competitors was the 'Log Lift Ladder' - 5 different weight log lifts of: 120kg / 140kg / 160kg / 170kg / 180kg. The goal was to lift all five "logs" in the shortest time possible. The fastest of all competitors was Luke Stoltman (see video below), who managed to complete the event in 53.57 seconds!
