Watch Thor Bjornsson break the deadlift world record live!

Already this Saturday 2.5.2020 it is possible that history will be rewritten! The Icelandic strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson alis Thor has his sights set on breaking the world record in deadlifting (500kg), held since 2016 by Eddie Hall.

Eddie Hall deadlift 500kg (1102.31lbs)

Björnsson planned to break this record at the Arnold Strongman Classic (March 5-8, 2020), but he didn't go higher than 1026 pounds in the deadlift discipline, so Eddie kept the record. However, it wasn't long before Thor came out with a statement that he would break the world record on May 2, 2020 - the link to the live stream can be found HERE.

Ten days ago, the Icelandic posted a video on his instagram in which he deadlifted 470kg. What do you think, will Thor set a new world record? Let us know your opinion in the comments below the article.
