You don't need a lot of supplements anymore. There's a Super Intra that's enough to get you through your workout!
Anyone who has been following me for a long time knows that I am not an advocate of using an overabundance of unnecessary supplements and there are only a few supplements that make sense in my eyes. These are defacto only vitamins, minerals and other important supplements from a health and anti-aging perspective. Then protein, which will facilitate higher protein intake and promote or ease digestion with higher protein intake, which is important for building muscle mass. And the last thing I've been using for years is Intra (nutrition during training), where I mix up a mixture of different products that make sense and sip them during training. Only functional ingredients that are proven to have at least some effect in terms of muscle mass, energy, recovery, pumping and hydration.
That's why I made Super Intra in the first place for myself, to have all the products for my hard training in one pixel so I didn't have to mix up a mixture of products for each workout, which was really time consuming. Plus, you, my followers and fans, have been asking for a similar product to be created. Now it's out and it's called SUPER INTRA!

Intra supplements are commonly used abroad during training. Leading foreign trainers recommend their charges to consume nutrition already during training and not to wait for the end of training, because the body is very sensitive to nutrient intake during this period and the blood that flows to your pumped muscles will bring the necessary nutrients for growth and promote recovery. The biggest promoter is the very well known pro trainer Milos Sarcev. Still a bit misunderstood in our country, he has taken my challenging workouts to another level and I have seen noticeable progress. Many try to look for the science behind every product, but the bro world of bodybuilding has always been a decade further away than the science that deals with this topic only marginally and does not take into account the practice of hard-working fitness enthusiasts. As an example, I can cite total daily protein intake. Science has always claimed that an intake of 1.6g/kg is sufficient, but today, after a few years, it claims that an intake of around 3g/kg is much better for building muscle mass and holding a lean line, which bodybuilders have been consuming since time immemorial.
On the other hand, it must be admitted that every day a new miracle supplement is discovered that will revolutionize our fitness world. It can do everything from losing fat, gaining muscle mass, fighting cancer, arthritis, heart disease and even enlarging men's "tools" or breasts to the size of watermelons. So how do we find out what works?
First we need to define what the role of supplements is. A supplement, by definition, is "something added to complete a thing, make up a deficiency, or extend or strengthen the whole." The whole thing is a healthy nutritional program. Without a rock-solid basic nutrition (meaning diet), supplements can do little. There is no magic pill that will allow you to stuff your belly button with bad food and still maintain a peak physique or even health. In the simple equation, proper diet = 95% + supplements = 5%. Supplements are just the icing on the cake. I can't tell you how many people have approached me with a completely poorly composed diet, yet have a gym bag full of the latest and greatest supplements.

So now that we understand what the real role of supplements is, let's introduce something great that helps most people who train hard and value recovery. In the last decade, high molecular weight starches have become popular. The first one I came across was Vitargo in 2015, but it has been on the market abroad since about 2003. I tried it and saw a profound difference in my recovery from even the hardest workouts. After Vitargo came out, there were many cheaper versions of waxy cornstarch on the market. Amix was the first to come along, always keeping pace with the latest developments in the bodybuilding world, and Vitargo was used by the best bodybuilders in the world. Today, the latest version is Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin or HBCD for short, which is the base ingredient of the just new Super Intra. What is this mysterious molecule and how can it benefit me? That's what I'll try to answer in terms of simplifying the science that most people will understand. I don't like clever talk that no one understands, but I always present everything to you in the simplest form.
HBCDs are made from amylopectin (starch) molecules that are enzymatically altered to bridge and join together. This changes the shape, denaturing the original molecule, much like cooking egg whites. Egg whites are still egg whites and contain the same amount of protein, they just change structurally. How does this help? We'll soon see.
Now that we have defined what HBCDs are, we need to know how they benefit the body. When we exercise, we create a deficit of energy, nutrients, and certain hormones. So how do we climb out of this hole we have created for ourselves? The body needs the right building blocks, i.e. amino acids and glucose to repair damaged muscles. The goal is to use HBCD before and during your workout so that the body has a constant supply of energy to get you through an intense workout. You also need a protein source(EAA - also included in Super Intra, whey hydrolysate, or a combination of both) to prevent catabolism. A simple carbohydrate source that doesn't cause a spike in blood sugar and insulin response is the best. So what is optimal to use?
The question arises, what about using only simple sugars with a high glycemic index? The problem with fast sugars is twofold: with a rapid rise in blood glucose comes a rapid insulin response, which almost always leads to hypoglycemia. This would be a bad choice during a workout, but a great choice after a workout. With simple sugars, you would likely see your energy drop quickly before you finish your workout, which is not good. Simple sugars also have very high osmolality, which as we'll see is problematic. What the heck does that word osmolality mean!

First, let's define osmolality. Osmolality is the number of molecules of a given substance (solute) in a kilogram of liquid (solvent). A high osmolality means that it has many molecules in solution. Imagine a bucket of water with 100,000 grains of sugar (sucrose). So after dissociating these molecules, you would have 100,000 glucose molecules and 100,000 fructose molecules floating in solution. It makes sense that this solution has a high osmolality because it has 200,000 molecules in solution. The following example should provide a simple understanding: you can have 200,000 fructose and glucose molecules in solution versus 2,000 hundred long glucose chains. Of course these numbers do not represent reality, they were just marginal comparisons.
So how does the above mumbo-jumbo affect you? The stomach has osmo-receptors that sense the osmolality of incoming solutions. The higher the osmolality, the slower the rate of gastric emptying. So the high sugar solution is actually retained longer in the stomach, while the HBCD travels like a bowling ball through your stomach to the intestine to be absorbed. The beauty is that these molecules are so interconnected and complex, it takes a long time to hydrolyze (break) the glucose bonds, resulting in a rapid but sustained release of glucose into the bloodstream. This helps avoid insulin spikes and subsequent drops in blood sugar levels. Thus, energy throughout the workout and that's why HBCD is part of Super Intra!

Peri-workout nutrition (nutrition taken before, during and after exercise) is becoming more and more prevalent. High glycemic index carbohydrates are great post-workout. They basically force feed muscle glucose in a hurry, which usually results in lower blood sugar. While this is great after exercise, it would be terrible for exercise performance. A great way to maximize this anabolic window is to drink an HBCD before and during your workout, along with an EAA or whey hydrolysate to deliver nutrients to your muscles during your workout, while not lowering your blood sugar. I chose EAAs (complex amino acids) for my Super Intra because whey hydrolysate or peptides tasted terrible and weren't as convenient for digestion as EAAs.

Summary
Like we said, the main ingredient in Super Intra is HBCD, which will deliver a steady supply of energy throughout your workout without unwanted blood sugar spikes. Next, EAAs, or complex amino acids, which will provide additional quality nutrition to your muscles during your workout, won't strain your digestion, and are also absorbed very quickly. The other useful ingredients that are important in my view in the window around or during training and are contained in the new Super Intra are already very familiar. For strength I have added the well researched Creatine and for better performance during high intensity exercise a high dose of Beta Alanine, which is the building block of Carnosine, which helps to buffer acid build up in the muscles. Super Intra also contains a blend of electrolytes to ensure proper hydration, which will also help pump up your muscles. Speaking of pumping, I'm betting on a high dose of Citrulline and beetroot nitrates. The last great ingredient is Taurine, which is essential for cardiovascular function and brain, retinal and skeletal muscle development and function.
Conclusion
Simply put, if you take Super Intra, you'll improve your recovery from hard workouts and turn your hard earned muscle mass you're looking for into a reality! Plus, I've adapted the supplement for women, who will come into their own at half the dose. I wouldn't worry at all, but on the contrary, I would give Super Intra a chance even in endurance sports. It will provide energy and strength during performance and improve post-workout recovery.
