Toomey and Vellner take gold - CrossFit Wodapalooza 2020 | Results
On February 20-23, 2020, sunny Miami was transformed into a CrossFit, strongman, and weightlifting festival that attracted competitors and spectators from all over the world. Today we will focus on only one part of the festival - crossfit competitions were attended by many athletes from beginners to the best crossfitters in the world.

Athletes could enter 38 race groups, which were divided by age and performance. In the Elite category, spectators could watch celebrities such as Rich Froning, Sara Sigmundsdóttir, Tia Clair Toomey, Brooke Wells, Brent Fikowski, Patrick Vellner, Noah Ohlsen and more.

At the same time, an athlete from the Czech Republic - Martin Feiferlík- also took part in these competitions . Martin qualified for the Rx Men group, in which he took a great 23rd place!
Martin's feelings after the race, which he posted on social network instagram:
This weekend was a great experience for me! Even though I competed in the RX category, it was one of the most prestigious competitions I have been able to participate in. Top athletes, a spectacular fitness festival with all the stars of Crossfit as they should be. Since I made it to this year's Crossfit Games as the Fittest of Czech Republic and further qualified for the Crossfit Sanctional German Throwdown 2020, I took this competition as an experience in the USA, where the aforementioned Crossfit Games 2020 will then take place in July. I'm trying to direct all my preparation there!
Out of 6 workouts I inadvertently participated in only 5, where a misunderstanding arose from the organizers on the last day of the competition, where I was supposed to start at 11:30, they changed the schedule and moved the start to 9:30. They sent the information at 7am but unfortunately I was not connected to the internet and the information reached me and other individuals late, so nothing could be done about it! So I missed out on a good placing in this category. My best was WOD 2 - where it was 12min on the oar and covering as much distance as possible -2nd place with 3625m. The opposite was the disappointing double EMOM where I was confident but my head was somewhere else I lost such a great position before the last day.
However, I cannot be completely satisfied with all the results. There were a lot of small mistakes from which I want to learn as much as possible and thus move up a level. There is still a lot to work on. To be aware of things right here on the spot and to trust myself more. It's important to get your head right so that the performance is 100%. It's all about the head and mind set. Here I was a little hesitant and in some wods, I didn't go completely 100%. A big influence is the timing and the background options.
Martin is also the organizer of the Bohemian Throwdown 2020, which will take place on 19-21 June 2020 in Pilsen. We informed you about the Bohemian Throwdown in our article, where you can find an interview with Martin Feiferlik.
The online qualification is currently running and ends on 1.3.2020.
