Street Hard Workout Battle Sokolov 2020
On the first Saturday in September, the Street Hard Workout Battle Sokolov 2020 competition took place in Sokolov, which was part of the Street Hard Workout League. Here too, the competition was a sets and reps category, where the disciplines were shoves, dips, push-ups and also squats on one leg, which was a change from Garden Battle vol. 4.
The competition was attended by the biggest favorites of the competition, namely Tomáš Mandzák, Vladimír Pospíšil, Jan Černý and Miloš Mikulka, but of course also other very good athletes.
The weather was a bit affected by clouds, but it was a beautiful 20 °C, which is excellent for this type of sport.
Competition rules:
Shyby
The Shift must be performed strictly, the chin must always be over the bar and then into the outstretched arms into the vise. The swing must be executed without twitching, without kicking, in one stroke only. The legs must not be bent, they must be straight and together at all times. The practitioner always waits for the referee's command to perform the bend. The practitioner may rest in the vis for a maximum of 3 seconds. Each bend is scored with 3 points.
Dipy
The dip begins and ends in the extended arms, and must always break 90 degrees (at least just below level). Legs must be extended, not bent. Dips must be executed without twitching or kicking to assist the legs or any other part of the body and without bending the front of the body. The practitioner may perform the dips continuously and does not have to wait for the referee's command and must always follow strict technique. The practitioner may rest for a maximum of 3 seconds in the basic dip position. Each dip is scored with 2 points.
Push-ups
The push-up begins and ends with the arms extended, must always be broken 90 degrees and the competitor must touch an object on the ground (approximately the size of a fist) with their chest. The entire body must move during the push-up not just the upper body. The back must not be sunken or arched in any way. The body must always be perfectly straight, any arching or sagging in the back does not count as a push-up. Hands must be level a little wider than your shoulder width but not again at a wide crank. The practitioner may perform the push-ups continuously and does not have to wait for the referee's command, and must always follow strict technique. The practitioner may rest in the basic push-up position for a maximum of 3 seconds and may not raise the buttocks to a higher level than the shoulders. Each push-up is scored 1 point.
Squat on one leg
Squats begin in a slightly extended leg position and end after breaking at least 90 degrees (hip joint will be lower than knee). The back is straight at all times. Rest is possible between squats for max 3 seconds. Each squat is scored 2 points.

The competition started with the classics, namely shyby. Tomáš Mandzák is one of the elite shifters, who made 31 shifts. Jakub Orvoš finished right behind him with 30, and Marek Bery did one less.
Next in the order were the dips on the bars. Tomáš Mandzák was also the king of them, with 133 dips. Here he showed that he is absolutely unbeatable in this discipline.
Second in the number of dips was Vladimir Pospisil, who made 52 dips. The third was Marek Bery with 44 push-ups on parallel bars.
Among the highly anticipated discipline were push-ups. Who was the biggest push-up man?
The biggest king of push-ups was again Tomáš Mandzák, who set an incredible 224 pieces. Vladimír Pospíšil was right behind him with 174 push-ups. By the way, this performance in previous seasons would have been enough to win in peace! However, the incoming generation in the form of Tomas Mandzak made it clear that the 200 push-ups limit would always be broken.
One of the not quite common disciplines in street workout battles is squats on one leg, and in this discipline Jan Černý clearly dominated with an incredible 93 squats. Jan Černý is also a parkour player, which is why he was able to dominate this category so clearly.
Similarly, Honza is also a freestyle street workout competitor, so he is one of the most complete athletes who go to competitions, and it should be noted that his age crossed the 40 mark a few years ago! So hats off to such feats!
In the end, it was thanks to the squats on one leg that Honza Černý moved up to third place, i.e. bronze.
The clear winner of the whole Battle was Tomáš Mandzák with 643 points, second was Vladimír Pospíšil with 414 points, and third was Jan Černý with 373 points.
