Hafthor Bjornsson showed his current form three months before the match with Hall!

In March next year we should finally see the long-awaited fight between Hall and Björnssonen, which has been talked about for over a year. The fight was originally scheduled for September this year, but due to Hall's biceps injury the fight had to be postponed. However, it is clear that both former strongmen are taking the fight seriously. Björnsson even managed to lose around 60kg because of boxing! You wouldn't have pegged his physique as a former strongman because of that.

In May, Hafthor revealed the diet plan he follows daily. The diet consists of 5 meals, but even though the diet is a diet for Throa, for many people it would be more of a bulking diet.

  • Meal 1: 3 eggs / 200g chicken / Smoothie (150g Greek yoghurt, 100g strawberries/berries, 40g oats)
  • Meal 2: 220 g beef fillet / 180 g white rice / 100 g green vegetables
  • Meal 3: 220 g chicken / 250 g potatoes / 100 g green vegetables
  • Meal 4: 220 g salmon / 100 g green vegetables / 100 g white rice
  • Meal 5: 250 g Greek yoghurt / 50 g almond butter / 100 g bananas / 1 scoop of whey protein

At the start of the diet, Hafthor weighed around 205 kg (451.9 lb) and currently the Icelandic strongman should be 147 kg (324.1 lb). He managed to lose this weight thanks to very intense boxing and cardio training, which you can see in the video below.

It will definitely be interesting to see how the fight between these two giants will turn out and if the rivalry between them will subside and they will become friends.
