Björnsson turns down Hall's charity bet, offers a tattoo bet instead!

The long awaited and much anticipated fight between Björnsson and Hall should finally take place early next year. The fight was originally scheduled for this September, but due to a becep injury that Hall suffered during boxing training the fight had to be postponed. We should see it here, as we wrote, early next year.

But, as it is usually the case, the fight has to be "promoted" properly before it takes place and both fighters take care of this aspect beautifully. Eddie Hall has decided to make a bet with Thor that the loser will have to give $100,000 to charity. Björnsson upped that bet to $200,000 and wanted them both to donate that amount regardless of the outcome of the fight.

Hall, in turn, accepted Björnsson's raise but raised it again, suggesting that the loser of the match should donate $1 million. Björnsson refused the million-dollar increase, saying it would be irresponsible.

Instead, "The Moutain" came up with a different, more interesting way - the loser would have to get a tattoo of the other man's name, labeled "World's Strongest Man."

For the record, this is what the tattoo that the loser of the match will have to get tattooed on his body would look like:

  • Eddie Hall - "World's Strongest Man: Hafthor Julius Björnsson"
  • Hafthor Björnsson - "World's Strongest Man: Eddie Hall"

Plus, each of them will pay $200,000 to charity.

MY ANSWER TO EDDIE HALLS 1 MILLION $ OFFER!

Hall wasted no time in responding to Björnsson by accepting his bet on the tattoo. Although Björnsson didn't specify where they would have to get the tattoo, Hall did mention that Björnsson would have to get it tattooed "on his ass", although it's unclear whether this was a serious statement or more nonsensical strong talk...

Either way, it's good that the strongmen have agreed to the bet and let's hope the fight finally happens and we can watch the toughest fight in boxing history.
