Michal Krizanek 6 weeks before Pittsburgh Pro 2025

Slovak bodybuilder Michal "Krizo" Križánek is intensively preparing for the upcoming Pittsburgh Pro 2025 competition. On March 31, 2025 he completed a challenging training focused on strengthening his back and abdominal muscles under the guidance of experienced IFBB professional Lukáš Osladil.

Coming back from injury and goals for 2025

After a third place finish at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro, where he was edged out by Behrooz Tabani and winner William Bonac, and a subsequent shoulder injury that prevented him from qualifying for the Olympia, Krizo decided to return to the top. His main goals for 2025 are triumphs at the Pittsburgh Pro and New York Pro, which would ensure his return to bodybuilding's most prestigious podium.

Krizo completed the following training unit under the supervision of Lukáš Osladil:

  • Superseries A:
    • Lying Leg Raises
    • Sit-Ups.
  • Plank
    • Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown
    • Incline Bench Barbell Rows
    • Single-Arm Dumbbell Bent-Over Rows
    • Chest-Supported Row Machine Rows
    • Reverse Grip Lat Pulldown

During the workout, Osladil provided Kriz with valuable advice on the technique of performing the exercises. For example, for one-arm dumbbell pull-ups in the front squat position, he advised him to eliminate the swing and focus on pulling toward the hip rather than the lower back, which increases the effectiveness of the exercise.

The importance of the Pittsburgh Pro 2025

The Pittsburgh Pro, scheduled for May 10-11, 2025, is considered one of the most prestigious events on the IFBB Pro League calendar, especially due to its association with Jim Manion's name. Krizo will face strong competition there, including Olympia fourth man Martin Fitzwater and former two-time Olympia champion Derek Lunsford, who recently confirmed his participation. With a purse of $100,000, this contest is a key opportunity for Krizo to secure qualification for Olympia and confirm his position in the bodybuilding elite
