Don't underestimate sleep! Jay Cutler and Arnold talk about its importance!
Jay Cutler is undoubtedly a bodybuilding legend and needs no introduction. Although he himself has definitely put the competitive swimsuit on the nail some time ago, he still acts as a mentor, commenting on important topics in bodybuilding and current events. For example, he recently revealed that he spends over a million crowns a year on food in training. In a recently published video on his YouTube channel, he focused on sleep for a change and revealed his favourite ways to promote muscle recovery.
As well as building muscle, Jay is now quite often talking about topics such as life balance and the importance of self-awareness.
"Sleep. I feel like society doesn't sleep enough. I've always tried to sleep at least five hours straight. I always recommend a little more, but of course it depends on your schedule. In any case, sleep is super important for maintaining a lean and active body."

Finding out that sleep is important is probably not surprising and we have written about its benefits in many previous articles in our magazine. However, in addition to that, Jay also shared some other things that helped keep his muscles limber and relaxed:
"Massage therapy and saunas are also good. As far as the muscles are concerned, this will keep them well supple but at the same time flush toxins out of the body and keep your metabolism going."
Cutler revealed in a short video posted on YouTube.
Thus, Jay Cutler is not the only bodybuilder who has recently spoken out about the importance of sleep. For example, the legendary Arnold shared a study some time ago that found that people who don't sleep well tend to retain fat more often and burn muscle mass instead. Arnold's advice then included going to bed at the same time every night and, of course, limiting screen time before bed.
