Mental disorders in fitness | Breast, Shoulder, Triceps Training | Intensification Techniques
Eating disorders are a serious health problem that affects millions of people worldwide, regardless of age, gender or socioeconomic status. These disorders, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating, are often shrouded in silence and stigma surrounds them, making early recognition and treatment difficult.
In today's world, where a culture of thinness and perfection is spreading through social media, there is increasing pressure on individuals to achieve unrealistic body ideals, which can lead to dangerous eating habits and psychological disorders. This article focuses on a deeper understanding of eating-related psychological disorders, their impact on individuals and society, and highlights the importance of early intervention and support for those struggling with these disorders.
However, we are all united by exercise, and so we have another outline of training on this topic, namely breast, shoulder and triceps training using intensification methods. This workout plan is inspired by Kai Green's workout plan. It is a combination of effective volume/strength training top/bottom along with push/pull/legs. It's simple, we'll train five times a week and the workout should fit into an hour and a half. We have two days a week to rest and recover. How you divide the days is up to you.
| Exercise | Series | Repetition | Pause |
| Stretches on incline bench | 4 | 20 | 0 sec |
| Push-ups on inclined bench | 4 | 12 ( last drop set) | 0 sec |
| Straight bench presses with one-handed narrow / or discus | 4 | 8 | 60 sec |
| Push-ups with one-handed standing | 4 | 12 | 0 sec |
| Pull-ups on pulley | 4 | 12 | 0 sec |
| Forearm curl with one arm | 4 | 15 | 60 sec |
| French push-ups | 4 | 12 (rest break last set) | 0 sec |
| One-handed upper pulley pull down | 4 | 12 | 0 sec |
* if the exercise is marked with a pause "0 sec", it means that the exercise is in the superset
* drop set - do the given number of reps, then drop the weight by 20% and do the maximum number of reps again
Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and orthorexia nervosa are three types of eating disorders that have a significant impact on an individual's physical and mental health. Each has its own specific characteristics, causes and effects. Here is key information about each of these disorders:
Anorexia Nervosa (Anorexia Nervosa)
- Characteristics: Anorexia is characterized by extreme fear of gaining weight and a distorted perception of one's own body, leading to severely restricted food intake and a high risk of malnutrition.
- Physicalconsequences include irregular heart rhythms, osteoporosis, anaemia and other health problems. Mentally, it can lead to anxiety, depression and isolation.
- Treatment: usually involves a multidisciplinary approach including nutritional counselling, behaviour change therapy and, if necessary, treatment for psychological disorders.
Bulimia (Bulimia Nervosa)
- Characteristics: Bulimia is characterised by repeated episodes of binge eating during which the individual consumes large amounts of food in a short period of time, followed by behaviours such as inducing vomiting, taking laxatives or excessive exercise to prevent weight gain.
- In addition to gastrointestinal problems and electrolyte imbalances, bulimia can have serious consequences for the cardiovascular system and dental health.
- Treatment: Therapy often includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, treatment for any co-existing psychiatric disorders, and nutritional support.
Orthorexia
- Characteristics: Orthorexia is an informal term used to describe an obsession with healthy food and eating. Individuals with orthorexia are pathologically focused on eating a "clean" or "perfect" diet.
- Consequences: This obsession can lead to social isolation, nutritional deficiencies, and impaired quality of life, even when the individual believes he or she is acting in his or her best health interest.
- Treatment: Focuses on restoring a balanced relationship with food and often includes behaviour change therapy and education about healthy eating.
For all of these disorders, early diagnosis and initiation of treatment is crucial to minimize their long-term health and psychological effects. Support from family and loved ones, along with professional treatment, is essential for successful recovery.
