Kai Greene reveals his secret exercise for brutal leg development!

Despite the fact that Kai Greene is no longer a young man, at 46 years of age he is still in great shape, which is the envy of many younger fighters. Even though Kai has never won the most prestigious contest in the world, Mr. Olympia, he has managed to win three times at the Arnold, the second biggest bodybuilding contest in the world. Although Greene is not planning a comeback to the competition boards, he still works hard in his workouts as if he wants to come back after all.

One of the things that sets Kai apart from others is his approach to training. Greene doesn't train like every other bodybuilder. Take leg training, for example. Kai incorporates specific exercises into his training that may be old school, but apparently work well! One such exercise is the Jefferson Squat, to which this legendary bodybuilder wrote:

My secret that not many people know is the Jefferson Squat. It works the lower body in a unique way, to perform this movement take a wide stance and hold the bar between your legs with one hand in front of your body and one hand behind it.

Keep your glute muscles tight while you squat. Use smaller discs on the bar, no more than 25, to get down deep enough. The key is to push your knees out - when you do this, your glute muscles activate, so you'll keep them in continuous contraction throughout the set.

The better I got at doing Jeffersons, the more proficient I became at squatting. I learned how to better activate my qlutes, hams and quads.

So if you're stumped on how to improve your legs, try this exercise that the great Kai himself recommends. In the video below, you can watch a detailed demonstration of how to perform this exercise correctly!
