Christmas classics healthier - fitness christmas
Christmas cake is an absolute classic that must not be missing on the Christmas table of many of us. But if you're into healthier baking this year, we've got a recipe for a healthier version of this traditional treat that you'll love! You don't have to worry about making the christmas, because it's easy and the hardest part is the knitting, which you can certainly do. Come and try our healthier recipe!

Ingredients:
- 250g spelt flour
- 50g vanilla protein powder
- 60g almond butter
- 2 eggs
- 150g white yoghurt
- a few drops of vanilla essence
- 50g cane sugar
- bag of baking powder
+ almond slices on top and egg yolk for spreading

Procedure:
- Mix the flour with the protein, add the baking powder, egg, yoghurt and mix - you can use a food processor to make it easier.
- Gradually add the sugar to the batter (those who don't want to use sugar can use sweetener, of course).
- Finally, add the peanut butter - we used almond butter, but it would probably work with other nut butters, like hazelnut or walnut for sure!
- Leave the dough to work through properly.
- Transfer the dough to a floured rolling pin, roll out a long roll and divide it into 9 parts.
- Roll out the 9 pieces again into thin "wisps" and knit according to the procedure in this video.
- Then just brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake at 180°C for about 40 minutes.

It smells wonderfully of vanilla and almonds and is beautifully fluffy. Plus, it has protein, peanut butter and just a minimum of sugar, so it's definitely more nutritionally interesting than the classic one. But of course, the choice is yours! We'll be glad if you try the recipe and let us know how the Christmas cake went!
Enjoy!
