Will Adenike end up in court for his menus?
Tens of thousands of followers on Instagram or winning a bikini fitness competition are no guarantee that the influencer in question is a nutritionist. This is directly confirmed by the case of fitness expert Adenike, who sent 500-800 kcal per day menus to women as part of a collaboration. However, this is no longer just about wasted money, but a direct gamble with health.

56,000 followers on Instagram, winning a bikini fitness competition and collaborating with a number of well-known brands not only in the field of fitness, Adenike Endt can boast of all this. No wonder that for many women her figure became a role model and they wanted to tap into her "know how" and look the same. And how to achieve this? Many female fans thought of the logical thing - to ask her to make a diet plan. According to information found by the Institute of Modern Nutrition, she charged 3-4 thousand crowns for her cooperation, and the clients then received a table with a diet plan and instructions on how to follow it. The diet plan was not individualized and prepared for a specific person, an example of what it looked like can be seen below.

What sends shivers down my spine is that the diet contained an average of 500-800 kcal per day, plus a recommendation for 40 minutes of cardio 4 times per week. 500-800 kcal per day is an intake well below basal metabolism for an adult woman (basal metabolism is the energy required to maintain basic physiological functions of the body such as organ function or blood circulation), and when you add in the cardio expenditure, it's a road to hell or the destruction of health and psyche.

A few days ago, our website published an article 8 warning signs that you have chosen the wrong nutritionist, we recommend reading it before you put yourself in the hands of a nutritionist.
Institute of Modern Nutrition offers legal assistance to victims
The Institute of Modern Nutrition has been monitoring the actions of A. Endt since 2019 and to date has been contacted by a large number of women who have paid for their cooperation with Adenike, not only in money, but unfortunately some with their health. A nutrition counsellor is not a doctor or a nutritional therapist and therefore should not be working with sick people, but Adenike has, according to their information, had no problem recommending a drastic diet to, for example, a woman with diabetes or a woman who is breastfeeding. The negative effects on the health of her clients are probably not surprising anymore; in their stories they mention loss of menstruation, hair loss, eating disorders or psychological problems as a result of following the diet she sent them.
The Institute of Modern Nutrition offers legal support to all of Adenike Endt's injured clients, as they are aware that not everyone is familiar with legal issues and has enough money for a lawyer. They can be contacted by email at info@institutmodernivyzivy.cz
L. Roubík of IMV: "This is the toughest challenge we have ever made. The reason is that unless some online trainer or coach who may have damaged clients in a big way faces legal action, I'm afraid nothing will change at all."
Negative effects of extremely low intake on the human body
Long-term low calorie intake and an unbalanced diet will take their toll. There is a reason why we warn all women against extreme diets like the one mentioned above.
1) Loss of menstruation and reduced fertility
With malnutrition, menstrual cycles can be disrupted or disappear altogether. An increase in estrogen and luteinizing hormone levels is required for ovulation, and studies show that the levels of these hormones depend on the amount of calories consumed, among other things. Too low a percentage of fat in the body causes the brain to stop producing the hormones that control the menstrual cycle, thus preventing ovarian stimulation and ovulation. This is a kind of "defense mechanism", as such a body would probably not be able to bear a healthy fetus[1,2,3].
2) Hair loss, deterioration of nails and skin quality
In order for our hair to grow, we must have enough nutrients and calories in our diet. Low intake often leads to deficiencies in essential fatty acids, zinc, protein, iron and other necessary substances, resulting in hair loss, brittle nails and dry, dull skin. [ 4,5,6,7] In this article, we have focused on the top 10 foods that have a positive effect on skin appearance and hair growth and are definitely worth including in your diet.
3) Increased hair growth
There can be increased hair growth around the body, these are called lanugo - light fine hairs that start to grow as a result of the body's natural reaction to promote protection against the cold. [8]

4) Constipation
With low calorie intake, constipation problems can occur, either from a lack of fibre or because there is less "waste" in the gut that the body needs to eliminate[9,10].
5) Sleep problems and fatigue
Research confirms that excessive calorie restriction negatively affects the deep sleep phase, resulting in waking up in the morning frazzled, irritable and tired. Fatigue is quite logical when the intake is below the basal metabolic rate; the body spends energy on basic life functions and has no energy left for other activities. [11,12,13,14]
6) Bone weakening
Extreme dieting can reduce estrogen and testosterone levels and increase levels of the stress hormone cortisol, all of which can lead to bone loss and a greater risk of fractures [15,16,17].
7) Decreased immunity
The combination of sports and poor nutrition can lead to weakened immunity, resulting in a higher risk of infection and disease[18,19].
8) Constant feeling of cold
Consuming too few calories can lead to lower body temperature, which may be due in part to lower levels of the thyroid hormone T3, which, among other things, helps maintain body temperature. [20,21]
9) Hunger and sweet cravings
The human body is smart; once we don't give it enough calories and our diet is unbalanced, it starts sending hunger signals to get us to eat and prevent us from starving. Studies show that the increase in appetite is due to changes in satiety and hunger hormone levels (leptin and ghrelin). In addition, low calorie intake increases the production of the stress hormone cortisol, which is linked to feelings of hunger. [22,23,24,25]
10) Irritability, anxiety, eating disorders
Lack of food will also affect our mood, making us irritable, more aggressive and more easily upset. Some studies show a link between low blood glucose and higher aggression. But what's worse is that extreme eating can lead to the development of an eating disorder, the treatment for which is a long haul. It comes on very easily, due to starvation there comes a day or week when you can no longer stick to the regime and binge eating and regret follow. It is then very difficult to get out of the cycle of starving and overeating. The initial desire to lose weight can lead to binge eating, bulimia or anorexia. [26,27,28,29,30]

Bottom line
We've pointed out on our site several times that an influencer's thousands of Instagram followers and pretty figure are no guarantee that she understands healthy eating and is competent to give diet advice to others for money. Sticking to a diet of 500-800 kcal per day for a long time is bare nonsense for a grown woman and a gamble with health that can end tragically. We definitely do not recommend such a course of action in weight loss.
