Monika Řežábková - Girl who loves "predators". Read the interview with the winner of the last girl wars.

Today's interview from the Czech Wars belongs to Monika Řežábková, the winner of the last girl's duel.

Monika (23) is not particularly well known for her performances and successes in fitness, but many know her as the half of Honza Krasinski, the prettier one of course :) She lives in Pilsen and makes her living as a nutritional therapist, working on food composition and helping Honza with his diet.

What Monika certainly dominates in is OCR obstacle runs, which is actually a combination of "brutal monkey bars" with elements of army obstacles, parcours and running in harsh conditions. Monika is even so good at it that she participates in international competitions such as the European Team Championshipsand others. Imagine getting a medal from every Predator Race you run, and this girl runs them all, the basic ones to the most hardcore, so you can imagine the sagging shelves under the weight of the awards. You could see for yourself how she handled her opponent in the last fight, this girl has something lifted and her grip is literally as strong as a "horse", which is a bit of a misguided comparison, since horses don't have palms, but we're talking about "Anabolic Horses" so it's all good :).

Enjoy today's interview with Monika, a tough "Predator Girl" who you don't see much in the gym anymore, but she will 100% outrun you on an obstacle course.

Q&A:

Monica, tell us, was participating in the wars something of a "must" for you, considering Honza as a champion?

It certainly was. But above all, it was a great challenge that could not be refused.

Would you like to compete against someone else again in time, or will you stick to obstacle races? Who should be your opponent?

I think being stunted in just one sport is a pretty big mistake and mostly boring! If there is another opportunity, I definitely won't delay and will accept the challenge. I'll be happy to compare strength and endurance with anyone who thinks OCR athletes are unmatched!

How did you get into OCR racing and what is your vision for yourself and the sport?

I was introduced to OCR racing by a friend four years ago, at the time I couldn't even break a simple monkey bar. My vision is to get better at hurdles because that's what I enjoy about the sport. It's a daily battle with my head that my amazing team full of great people and friends help me with, and that's what I love most about it!

Your friend who I've mentioned a few times is in the pure fitness industry, he just lifts weights, has this let you go?

I definitely haven't let go, I'm just trying to be more comprehensive and functional. I like to do heavy legs with Honzi once a week, but I can't do heavy workouts often as an endomorph because I keel over right away :-D

What do you say about today's fitness, is it a trend, is it moving us forward or thanks to soc. Is it moving forward, is it moving towards fitness, is it moving you forward, is it moving you forward, is it moving you forward, is it moving you forward, is it moving you forward, is it moving you forward?

I think you answered the second part of the question :-D. Social networking is a great thing for getting visibility, however, it tends to be a rule to share only ideals and the reality is quite often different. However, it's great that people are starting to move more and more, then it's just a matter of how careful they are (I'm thinking about technique of exercise execution, stretching, recovery, diet). Otherwise, fitness can sometimes be a detriment.

Would you advise girls who might also decide to try some obstacle running what they should start with?

Why just girls? :-) I think even guys love these challenges after they run a race. The ideal is to start with a basic version of the race, which is different for every organizer. For the Predator Race, it's mainly RUN and DRILL.

What's your biggest sporting dominator, what do you enjoy most about the obstacles and how can you maybe improve on that?

My biggest dominance is probably my grip, wherever you hang me I stay hanging, preferably by my nunchucks, they hold up the best (haha). I enjoy just about everything about hurdles and the only way to get better at them is to practice them over and over again.

Supplements are a big topic, I think increasingly so with girls too, just because of instagram etc. do you include supplements or not? And possibly which is the most important one for you?

I live with a horse and I'm sure you know his stance on supplements. That's why at our house in the cupboard you can only find protein, vitamins, minerals, omega 3 and rabbit blood.

A lot of people have role models (favorites) in fitness, is there anyone like that in the OCR environment? Is it even a sport where someone stands out or is it really a mix of everything, where everyone who does maybe something else in their lifetime goes to run from time to time?

I admire anyone who finishes such a race with integrity and who occasionally helps us hobbits on the obstacle course :-). The goddess of obstacles is of course Jessie Graff, who you know from American Ninja Warrior or one such bland dude from Denmark, Leon Kofoed, who kicked everyone's ass at the European Championships!

Moncho please tell people why they should continue to follow you and you can say goodbye :)

You all may be watching Beauty, but he's an old fart and he'll be gone soon. So if you want to see the screeching colts that will soon replace him on the scene, watch me because only I can give him those. Thank you for your support during the wars, and thank you to Pavlis for the opportunity to be there.

You can watch Monica in the girl's duel, which we wrote about last time here.
