"I do it because I love it," Ronnie Coleman keeps practicing!
If you were to think of a bodybuilding legend, many of you would definitely think of Ronnie Coleman. However, this former professional bodybuilder had to pay a heavy toll for his success in the form of health. Ronnie dominated from 1998-2005 before being dethroned by Jay Cutler. Since then he has been plagued by many health problems, the effects of which still plague Coleman.
Still, the legendary athlete is not giving up. For example, Ronnie revealed during training sessions that what builds muscle is protein, of which he once took 600g a day! He also told how he felt about winning his first Olympia:
I had no idea I was going to win. I never thought I would win. Coleman explained. I turned pro in '91. My first Olympia was in '92.
But despite the health issues that have plagued this veteran, Coleman has never said he regrets training with heavy weights. In his interview with Bradley Martyn, he listed three tips that will make you a good bodybuilder, and lifting heavy weights is just one of them.
I used to do heavy things no matter what. I did something heavy every day. Like bench pressing, I always went to heavy weights. When I lifted weights, I always went up to 200lb.
I may have a little mobility issues, but I still train my legs twice a week every week. I miss doing squats more than any other exercise I've ever done. But at least I still have some leg strength left.

In a recent Instagram post, you can see Coleman doing a triceps press in a reverse grip. The 80-year-old legend shows no signs of demotivation and quite the opposite. He continues to love his sport!
"I know what you're thinking." Why is the nearly 60-year-old still working out? He has nothing left to prove. Well, I do it because I love it. I do it because it's my hobby and I look forward to every day.
