Nick Walker's intense leg workout three weeks before Pittsburgh Pro 2025

Bodybuilding fans are anxiously watching the stars' preparations for the upcoming Pittsburgh Pro 2025. One of the fighters being watched closely is undoubtedly Nick Walker, who recently revealed the behind-the-scenes of one of his challenging lower-limb workouts on his YouTube channel HD Muscle.

Walker, known for his massive physique and tenacity in the gym, focused his attention primarily on the quadriceps this time around. However, by his own admission, he never skips the opening hamstring exercise. The seasoned pro also added valuable advice for those who want to get the most out of their workouts. The key, he says, is to give the body time to get used to the load before the actual work set.

"Whatever work weight you have, touch it for a few reps, let your body feel it, and then when you go into your first work set, it should be much smoother."

An interesting change in his training strategy for this season is the conscious avoidance of series to complete muscle failure, which was previously his common practice.

"Now that I'm so close to the competition, with only three weeks to go, I don't practice it much anymore - and to be honest, I haven't done it in all my off-competition training either. I prefer to opt for a bit more training because I think it gives me better results that way. I usually finish a set one or two reps earlier. I believe this helps prevent injuries and excessive fatigue. Of course, even high volume can cause fatigue, but that's why it's important to know your limits and know when your muscles have had enough and when it's time to move on."
