Michal Križo

Bodybuilder Michal "Krizo" Krizanek continues his quest to qualify for Mr. Olympia 2024. In a recent YouTube video, Krizo took fans through a full day of eating and also revealed his stash of supplements from Scitec Nutrition.

After scoring his debut 12th place finish on the Mr. Olympia 2022 competition stage, fans were quick to notice the potential, symmetry and monstrous musculature of Michal Krizo. In 2023, Križo emerged as a dangerous star in the Open category with a big win at the Empro Classic Pro 2023. With a massive jump up the rankings, Križo stormed onto the Olympia 2023 podium and secured seventh place, his best finish to date, and he's obviously looking to improve his score.

Michal Križo shares a full-day diet, during which he eats 4500 calories

Meal 1

  • 5 eggs (omelette or scrambled eggs)
  • Olomouc cheese cake
  • 120 g cereal
  • 30 g honey

Križo admits that he cut down on food due to temporary stomach problems.

"I used to eat more, but I had some stomach problems a week ago, so I cut back a bit. Now I'm trying to eat better quality food."

Pre-workout + post-workout shake

For the first workout of the day, Križo consumes a protein shake before and after the workout.

"Which is great value, it's almost like a legit meal. It's from Scitec, banana yogurt flavor," Križo said. "That's my pre-workout meal. I have it to keep my stomach from getting too full. Then I go work out. I drink about 70 grams of VitarGo during my workout."" After my workout, I'll have another 160 grams of [Jumbo Hardcore] gainer again," Križo says.

Food 2

  • 250 grams of salmon
  • 120 grams of rice + vegetables

Meal 3

  • 250 grams of chicken breast or a more tender meat such as veal +
  • vegetables
  • rice or potatoes
  • protein pudding

The Slovakian giant prefers lighter meat and generally prefers fish or chicken to beef.

"I prefer lighter meat, for example no beef," Križo adds. "Everything grilled. And depending on how full I feel, I'll have either rice or potatoes with this meal, or just a protein pudding."

Overall, Križo said his normal diet ranges from 4,500-5,000 calories a day, and he splits each meal into two hours.

"All of this would mean an intake of roughly 4,500-5,000 calories during the day. About 400 grams of protein a day. Carbohydrates also around 400 grams. And I don't usually count fats. At least 100 grams of fats for sure."

"Two hours between meals," Križo adds. "I've been watching Jay Cutler and how much he ate earlier. And he had something like 400 grams of carbs constantly. And I'm also an advocate of not going overboard with carbs. I think he had 400 grams of potatoes per meal and 450 grams of meat on top of that."

In terms of supplement intake, Križo takes citrulline and arginine before training. After waking up, he uses a vitamin complex, magnesium and probiotics.

"I take citrulline and arginine before training. After waking up, I take a vitamin complex. I also take magnesium and probiotics with it. I drink tea all day which I forgot to mention." "It's not fun to eat so much. I can't wait for the diet."
