Today I've prepared a booty band workout that you can incorporate into your training plan for a sculpted butt.
So, booty band workout is an effective and popular method for strengthening and shaping your gluteal muscles. They represent a simple, affordable and portable tool that allows for effective training at home and in fitness centers. By doing this exercise you will gain a number of benefits such as increased resistance, exercise variation options, better muscle engagement as well as improved stability. They are an effective tool for achieving firm and lifted buttocks. This type of exercise offers many benefits for beginners, intermediate and advanced exercisers. With different resistance levels, you can easily adapt the exercises to your individual needs and gradually increase the difficulty of the workout.
In this article, we'll take a look at my favorite booty band exercises to help you sculpt your glutes. Gluteal muscles such as the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus play a big role in stability, movement and overall body strength. That's why it's important to focus on exercises that activate all of these muscle parts to get an even and effective workout. I personally incorporate rubber bands regularly into my training plan and I feel a big change in being able to better engage the muscle I need to activate, and they have also helped me in strength training where I am able to feel the exercise better and make more progress when lifting heavier weights.
This butt workout plan includes 6 exercises that we'll go around in 4 sets for more reps, let's make it burn nicely. After completing the first set of 6 exercises, take a 1 min break and move on to the next round. Here we go!
Exercise program for the butt:
| Exercise | Series | Repetition |
| RDL on one leg | 4SS | 20 on each |
| Lunges on the spot | 4SS | 20 on each |
| Butterfly | 4SS | 30 sec each |
| Engaging | 4SS | 20 for each |
| Reproduction | 4SS | 20 per each |
| Squats with jump | 4SS | 30 |
1) Romanian deadlift on one leg:
The exercise is performed standing. The exercise is performed by standing with one foot on the rubber and grasping the rubber with the hand in the same half of the body. We make a slight bend, keep our back straight, put the other leg back and stand on the toe. Keeping a firm centre, with an inhale we go down, perform a hip movement and with an exhale we go back to the starting position. We then switch sides and practice the other leg. Perform 20 repetitions on each leg.
2) Swipe on the spot:
The exercise is performed standing. The eraser is placed in the same way as in the Romanian deadlift. Again, we go slightly forward, keeping our back straight and our stomach tight. The weight is on the front leg and we try to push mainly into the heel. We don't put the knee in front of the toe, trying to create a right angle to minimize pressure on the joints and prevent injury. With an exhale we go back to the starting position. We do 15 reps on each leg.
3) Butterfly:
The exercise is performed in a sitting position. The exercise is performed while sitting on the mat, with legs bent and feet together. Move your knees side to side up and down like a butterfly flapping its wings. Exhaling, we go down. Repeat 30 times and then immediately incorporate a 30-second hold in the down position.
4) Engagement:
The exercise is performed on all fours. The exercise is performed by placing the rubber slightly above the knees, going into a four-legged position, with both legs at right angles, and with one leg going into the tuck, then behind the other leg, back into the tuck and into the starting position. Keep your back straight and your middle of the body strong. With the exhalation we always go up. Repeat 20 times and switch legs.
5) Reproduction:
The exercise is performed on all fours. The exercise is performed on all fours. Try not to rotate in the pelvis and try not to lift the leg as high as possible. Just get into a position where you can be sure you're not rotating. Do this exercise 20 times on each leg.
6) Squat with a jump:
The exercise is performed standing. Put the rubber again above the knees, legs are in a wider position, behind the width of the shoulders, toes turned slightly out, go into squat and in the bottom position do one oscillation in the range of a few centimeters and then do a jump and back to squat with oscillation. With an exhale we go up. Repeat this 30 times.
Exercising with a rubber band provides many benefits and will help you to shape and firm your buttocks. For each exercise, you need to watch for proper technique and also proper breathing. Rubber bands are available in different levels of resistance, allowing exercises for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
So how to choose the right resistance rubber?
- Light resistance - these rubbers have lower resistance and are suitable for beginners or those who are just getting acquainted with booty bands exercises. Light resistance helps build core strength and coordination. Remember that regularity is key to achieving lasting results.
- Medium resistance - These are ideal for beginners who want to strengthen their muscles more but still maintain control over the exercise.
- Heavy Resistance - Heavy resistance is for advanced exercisers who already have basic strength, can coordinate movement, proper muscle engagement and want to push themselves further. Therefore, they allow you to exercise the muscles more intensely.
Booty bands are therefore a great exercise aid to help strengthen and sculpt areas, improve strength, muscle activation and overall coordination. Don't forget that regularity is key to achieving visible results.
