8 warning signs you've chosen the wrong trainer
Nowadays, practically anyone with the money can take a coaching course. Fitness trainers are growing like mushrooms after the rain and you don't know which one to choose. In this article, we will summarize some warning signs by which you will know that you have not put yourself in the hands of the right one.
1) You've been training with him for months and every workout is the same
You've been meeting with your trainer for joint classes regularly for months, but every workout is almost a carbon copy. Even worse, when you see him training with other clients, they are doing the exact same thing again. What does that say? His zero creativity, no effort to "tailor" a client's workout to their goals, needs, imbalances, etc. Quite possibly it is also the trainer's laziness to invent and try something new, which is why he practices the same full body workout over and over again with every client. The body gets used to a certain way of moving and then it stops being effective, so it is necessary to shock the body, include different exercises, superseries, different intensity, etc.

2) It is more dedicated to the mobile than to you
Of course, all of us have to do something urgent on the phone from time to time, but that's not what we're talking about now. If someone is training you and instead of paying attention to your technique, he's downloading Facebook on his mobile, say goodbye to him very quickly, someone like that doesn't deserve to be paid.
3) You strictly follow his advice and you don't make any progress
Most of us turn to a trainer when we don't know what to do with exercise and diet. We trust him and rely on the fact that if we don't cheat and stick strictly to his advice, success will come. The big disappointment after that is when you don't move an inch with your form and fitness over a long period of time. Measure yourself regularly, take photos and consult with your trainer about your progress, he or she should accommodate you and make adjustments to your training plan or diet if you are not getting results. For example, does he say after 5 months to give it time, that nothing is immediate and he sees no reason to change it? Then it's time to turn to someone else. While it's true that the results aren't immediate, you can't wait forever for them, it takes time to see that you're moving somewhere, even if it's not at a fast pace.
4) He tells you that you can't do it without the supplements he sells
Barely past the first hour together, he's already giving you tips on the guaranteed best supplements he sells that will make you grow fat and burn fat at lightning speed. No miracle supplement will do it for you in the gym, even a proper trainer should tell you that.

Recently, we can often see this mischief with some would-be female trainers with minimal experience - they took part in one competition and in the final it seems that they are capitalizing on the ignorance and convenience of their charges. They sell them all sorts of nonsense in the form of ineffective fat burners, detoxes and weight loss corsets.
5) It only takes you on pulleys and machines
Exercising on pulleys and machines has its place in your training, but it shouldn't be built solely on them. While pulleys are easier, safer, and you can train muscles in isolation on them, they will never fully replace training with free weights. Even as a beginner, you should master basic dumbbell exercises that engage multiple muscle groups at once. If you want to significantly improve your form or gain muscle mass, free weights are needed, as any successful bodybuilder will tell you.
6) You talk more than you work out
Your hour of training looks roughly like most of the time you're sitting on a bench with your trainer chatting about family, work, the weather, etc. In the course of this, you do a few biceps lifts or overhead kicks, so to speak. Consultation on diet or training obviously has its place in a class with a trainer, but if you spend a significant portion talking about nothing, something is wrong.

7) He says it's useless to exercise the legs as they are hidden in the shorts
And it's not just the legs, skipping a part because you're not that into it is pointless. Most of us have favorite and less favorite parts. But what good are a monster top and arms if you have ridiculously small legs to go with it? It's not just about physical appearance, if you don't exercise certain muscle parts at all, over time they will start to sag and shorten, which will not only contribute to poor posture, but all sorts of spinal pain can occur.
8) Proper exercise technique does not address
The first type seems to be guided by the motto: "Pull heavy weights, don't care about technique!" whereupon he brags that under his guidance everyone pulls a punch and everyone else throws up during his training.
The other type, looking at his client, says to himself, " Well, let's just get it over with."
Bottom line.
Finding a good trainer can sometimes be a real challenge. Talk to yours if you've been feeling for a while that your workouts aren't giving you what you want. If even that doesn't help and you know you still can't do without a trainer, don't be afraid to say goodbye to your current one and find another. A different coach means a different approach, different experience and different knowledge. Just because someone competes doesn't automatically mean they will be a good coach.
