Try the delicious low-carb pumpkin bun full of protein!
A low-carbohydrate diet doesn't have to be all about meat. There's room for snacking too. This bun, for example, after subtracting the fiber, contains only 5 g of carbohydrates.
Pumpkin is the holy grail
We most often associate pumpkin with autumn, the holidays, pie, and maybe even pumpkin lattes, where there really aren't any at all.
This vegetable, as we certainly already know, is an excellent base for desserts where we need low carbs. And if you don't like the taste, don't despair, cocoa and protein powder will provide most of the flavour. And what you take out of the oven will be very smooth and decadent.

INGREDIENCE:
- 1 can of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix)
- 2 eggs
- 4 scoops of chocolate protein powder
- 200 g Splenda sweetener
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- Optional: 25 g chopped almonds, dark chocolate chips (this of course changes the nutrient content).

PREPARATION:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Stir the ingredients until the lumps disappear.
- Grease a 20 x 30 cm baking tin.
- Spread the dough evenly over the baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, depending on your oven.
- Prick the buns with a toothpick. When the toothpick comes out clean, it's done. If there's batter on it, it still needs a few more minutes.
- Let the bun cool before you cut it into 6 pieces.
NUTRIENTS IN EACH BUN:
- Protein: 17 grams
- Fat: 3 grams
- Total carbohydrates: 9 grams
- Carbohydrates from fibre: 4 grams
- Carbohydrates without fiber: 5 grams

We wish you a good taste!
