Milan SuchýCongratulations on this year's result. What are your next goals?

It's too early to make any further decisions, I told myself that I would rest properly first after the season and then I will tackle my next goals. Although I'll regret not going to Europe for a long time....

Now I'm going to train till "exhausted" , then I'm going to take at least a month off and from September I want to start preparing for the next season. In the +90kg category I will still need some extra pounds of mass so I have a lot of work ahead of me.

From my personal plans: I would like to finish the gradual reconstruction of the Fitness Center and offer my clients a really cultural workout environment. Secondly, I've opened a new exotic and luxury food store with some friends, so I'd like to see it start to thrive as it's not a small investment.

Do you have a sparring partner?

I have one, his name is Míra Matys and although he has no competitive ambitions he is a terrible worker, he does a full training and diet with me apart from the final drainage. There's no way he's gonna be late for training or skip it. I can't imagine training without him.

What does the diet look like in the weight room during the day?

In volume training I don't watch my diet in detail, I try to take in enough nutrients, but if I have a craving for some food and I don't have a training that day I can have it.

How much fluid do you drink in a day?

Depending on whether I'm training or not, but it will be between 4-6 litres on average

What training system do you use in bulking and dieting. Do you workout in two phases?

In volume training I usually only go one phase usually the 5+2 system, of course I have to improvise sometimes through work commitments. In the diet I don't change my training, I try to train hard even in supercompensation, the only difference is in the added aerobic activity, which I gradually increase with the approaching competitions. I prefer mainly the Concept rowing machine, on which I "rode" well over 150km in this year's preparation, the rest I ride on a treadmill or a stepper.

What basic nutritional supplements would you recommend to beginners and what do you use yourself.

Vitamins, minerals, the rest I would have to supplement depending on what kind of diet the individual has and what is missing or insufficient in it. I use BCAAs, complete amino acids specifically AMINO 2300(30-40tbl daily), joint nutrition, protein bars. I don't use protein per se at all.

What do you think about Creatine as a bottom line nutrition. (It's such an ungrateful name that creatine :-))))

I don't think there's a day that goes by that someone doesn't ask me about Creatine at the gym. In short creatine works - creatine doesn't work miracles.

As we know, so does your trainer. Do you also train any of our "pro" athletes?

Not so "pro" yet, there are not so many of them in the Czech Republic, but I work closely with Martin Kasal, who definitely hasn't said the "last word" yet and has the ability to reach very high in bodybuilding. I hope I won't give away any secrets, but he would like to be nominated for the World Championships next year, where he will definitely not be an extra. In the fitness category it's Eva Rudolfová, who hopefully will finally break her bad luck after her back injury and surgery. Yesterday she already started her preparation for the autumn season where she intends to compete for a place in the national team for the World Championships in Spain.

Otherwise I hope that we as a team didn't make a shame this year:in men Michal Bendazi won thetitle of Czech champion up to 80kg and 4th place at the Czech Championship, Petr Kubečka 6th place at the Czech Championship in -90kg, Zbyněk Šefer( sparring partner of Martin Kasal) 2nd place at the Czech Championship up to 70kg. From women Klara Dvorakova 4th place at the Czech championship, she is yet to graduate from the republic and we hope for a medal.

Who is your coach?

In volume training I train myself, but in dieting when you lose control over yourself a coach is necessary. Eva Rudolfová helps me with choreographing routines and posing, my brother-in-law Martin Kasal, Eva and Jarek Soukup advise me on nutrition and supplementation.

How old have you been doing competitive bodybuilding?

I had my first contact with the barbell during my basic military service, after that I tried to go back to cycling, slowly but surely the barbells won, although at that time I never dreamed that I would ever compete. My first competition was the 1994 regional championship, where I finished second, this competition was attended by Martin Kasal (1st) and Petr Vaniš (4th)

What exercises did you start with??

I started according to L.Major's book Bodybuilding for men, at that time we were casting dumbbells from concrete and practicing in the basement as much as possible, so more or less basic exercises, because for example pulley machines, leg press etc. we just didn't know.

What's your view on pro bodybuilding today, especially when it comes to doping and everything to do with it?

Doping is not just a matter of pro bodybuilding, it is every sport where strength, speed or endurance is the deciding factor. Only an idealist would think not. It's a genie let out of the bottle and never to return. Sport is just a reflection of the society we live in...

How long have you been dieting and how much weight have you lost overall? How did you go over 90kg compared to last year, so no need to lose meat according to your weight, was it better or worse?

I started the diet back on the 10th of December weighing around 115kg for the Republic at 95.35.Last year I made the decision quite late and I wanted to avoid that this year. Mentally, it was definitely more pleasant not to have to force myself into any limit and worry until the last minute if I would fit into it.

Who was your idol?

I've never been a fan of idols, but at the time I liked Larry Scott.

How many grams of carbohydrate do you take in by volume ????

I don't count it in volume, but in diet it's between 50-1200g

What does your pre-competition training look like? Do you use training methods such as supersets ????

I don't use superseries for a simple reason, I just don't "breathe" them. Otherwise, I try to do heavy training consisting of basic exercises until the end of my preparation.

How were you satisfied with the HST ?

In a word: I was! I will definitely include it again in my next training.

Have you tried or are you planning to try GVT ?

Tried, but more or less always only in a modified way and never in a full cycle rather as a recovery for individual parts.

What is your opinion about the current conditions in Czech bodybuilding...especially regarding the conditions of starting for the rep ????

The starting conditions are set really hard, especially in terms of finances. And as far as ADV monitoring is concerned, the rep is put somewhere on the level of a paroled prisoner who has to report to a probation officer. Personally, I think that is already a violation of the Bill of Rights. Nothing against doping control at competitions, I understand and respect that, but to have someone restrict my privacy? Disturb me from my work? How would you like that?

From Lucky Sucha - You have improved tremendously over the last two years, are you going to Europe next year? I'd like to see you in the world.

Oh, thank you! I'll try to stay grounded and prepare as best I can, then we'll see. PS : I probably won't be able to make a mold on your Nutella scarves, although they are very good :-)))

Why do competitive bodybuilders lie? (I mean the topic:using illegal means to gain more muscle mass, strength and sculpting before competitions...)Would their ego drop if they admitted the truth?

Kind of a naive question...... who would voluntarily admit to something they would be immediately punished for?

You got a message for someone?

Thank you to Pro Holding CZ, s.r.o and Pavel Trampota's PT servis without whose help I would not have achieved this year's placings
