Grimes, Awodibu and De Asha a week before Flex Weekend Pro 2023
Regan Grimes, Blessing Awodibu and Nathan De Asha are surely the biggest favourites to win, and not just on paper, at the Flex Weekend Pro 2023, hosted this coming weekend in Milan, Italy.
The above mentioned fighters, among others, will be the opponents of our Honza Turk, who is also preparing for this event.
On the other hand, we already know that the Russian colossus Vitaly Ugolnikov, who has been denied entry to Europe, will not appear on the stage.
Regan Grimes is returning to the competition stage after a year's break, which he devoted to packing on extra kilos of muscle mass to his frame. And as you can see from the photos that capture the current form of this charge of coach Milos Sarchev, a good thing has been done, and Grimes looks very dangerous indeed!
He himself adds to the photos we attach to the article that he should present himself on stage with a weight attacking 120 kilograms, which is almost 10 kilograms more than if he starts competing in 2021.
"In the form of my life, for those who remember, I last competed at the end of the 2021 season, in the Reno Legion Sports Fest Pro - 2nd place, in Egypt(KO Squat - win) and in the Czech Republic(EVLS Prague Pro - 4th place), at 110 kilograms.
Even if I were to go on the podium now at 120 kilos, that's a 10 kilo increase in just two years. Remember that weight isn't everything, but it's definitely a good sign of improvement. The moral is: run your own race, focus on yourself, and everything else will sort itself out. Also, get a coach like Milos Sarcev. He knows what he is doing!"
Blessing Awodibu would like to build on his success in 2022, when he dominated the Indy Pro and New York Pro competitions as a budding pro. Conversely, he would very much like to forget his start this year, when he left the podium at the Chicago Pro in July with only a fourth place finish.
His form is also documented in the attached photos.
Nathan De Asha, with his nine professional triumphs, will clearly be the most successful fighter on the stage.
His last competitive swimsuit appearance was in the 2021 season, when he walked off the Europa Pro, Arnold Classic UK and Yamamoto Cup Pro podiums as the winner.
He had to sit out last season due to injuries to both biceps, so he is hungry for another successful competitive start this year.
Below you can watch his back workout and form check as part of a video made three weeks before the Italian event.
