Diet and training during Ramadan according to bodybuilder Hassan Mostafa
Egyptian bodybuilder Hassan Mostafa would like to improve his last year's competition results this year. Last season, his best performance was at the New York Pro, where he finished third, but he finished second to last at the Arnold Classic and only 13th at the most prestigious competition, Mr. Olympia.

For Muslim bodybuilders, however, Ramadan is always a big question mark, which "complicates" their preparation because they are not allowed to take any food during the day. And it is Hassan who made a video on his YouTube channel, where you can see how such a day of a Muslim bodybuilder during Ramadan takes place. However, he also revealed how he manages to replenish all the calories during the day so that he does not lose weight unnecessarily and all the preparation does not go to waste.
"Some might say they lose a lot of weight during Ramadan, yes, that can happen. But if you consume the same number of calories throughout the night and stay on track, I don't think you will lose much, if any, weight. Many people gain weight on Ramadan because they don't control the amount of calories they consume. Between all the sugary drinks and endless sweets. So people end Ramadan with more body weight instead of taking advantage of the 16-hour fast. The weight goes up because they take in more calories than their body needs during the meal period, but some people are shocked by this. So take advantage of this month. The worst part is all the sugary drinks and calorie-dense desserts. They cause weight gain and they also don't fill you up as much as you need, so be careful with that."
