Derek Lunsford - workouts from the preparation for the premiere participation in Mr. Olympia #3
Derek Lunsford scored a major victory last year when he finally managed to dominate the 212 Olympia event, living up to all the hopes that have been pinned on him since 2018 when he finished second to James "Flex" Lewis at the Olympia 212 Showdown.

In fact, in 2018, after his seventh Olympia triumph in the 212-pound division, Lewis announced that he would be leaving that category and heading to the open category. As we now know, that never happened, and instead this top bodybuilder ended his very successful career.
However, at the 2019 Olympia 212 Showdown, Lunsford, the uncrowned prince of the under 212lb division, was no match for Kamal Elgargni, and a year later, at the 2020 Olympia 212 Showdown, he finished as high as fourth place, with the trio of Shaun Clarida, Kamal Elgargni and George Peterson ahead of him.
Last year, however, he did not falter, dominated the competition and could prepare for this year's edition as the defending champion. However, we have known for some time now that there will be no title defence, as Derek received a special invitation to participate in this year's Mr. Olympia, among the "big boys", which he couldn't resist, and this year we will see him alongside Mamdouh Elssbiay, Nick Walker, Michal Krizinek and other heavyweights who have managed or will manage to qualify for the Olympia Weekend.
Today we bring you another series of his training videos in preparation for his first participation in Mr. Olympia.
