Strongmen helped a good cause - Studnicky Strongman and MČR Strongwoman
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the 3rd year of a unique charity event that brings together the world of strength sports and the world of science, medicine and patients took place in Studnice in the Hradec Králové Region. The Studnicky Strongman competition and the Czech Republic Strongwoman Championship brought together the strongest men and women to measure their strength and support a good cause. The total proceeds from the event of CZK 37,180 were donated to Asgent, a non-profit organization that supports gene therapy research to develop cures for incurable diseases in a non-commercial way. The founders of Asgent, Mr. and Mrs. Hajgajd and their two sons, came again to cheer on the athletes and greet the spectators. Founder Lenka told the audience how research into rare genetic diseases is progressing and what successes they have seen in the past year 2024.
The emotion-filled competition was held in several categories:
- Men U90
- U105
- Open
- Masters (40+)
- Women U75 and Open.
Spectators witnessed thrilling performances as competitors conquered the Loading Medley - a combination of multiple strength challenges within a time limit, demonstrated incredible strength in the Cardeadlift, lifting an entire car, and pushed a heavy log overhead in the Loglift. Not to be missed were the Hercules Hold endurance test, where competitors held massive weights for as long as possible, and the final Atlas Stones, where competitors threw heavy stones over a 122 cm high goat. A sporting atmosphere full of tension and anticipation underpinned the incredible performances of the competitors and there was no shortage of emotion and friendly support among the competitors.

Some of the fights were so close that the total number of points was not enough. In the case of a tie, the number of disciplines won by the competitor was the deciding factor, followed by other ancillary criteria. This allowed the final ranking to be determined even where the difference was really minimal. This is also how the titles were decided - Kateřina Procházková became the Czech champion up to 75 kg and Marie Tomečková won in the open category.
The competitors did not only take away unforgettable experiences from the competition, but also valuable experience, a shift in their personal records and, last but not least, a lot of interesting prizes prepared for them by the partners of the event. However, their reward was mainly the great atmosphere, the support of the spectators and the knowledge that their performance contributed to a good cause.
This year's competition also included an accompanying programme, the children's STRONGMAN, where young visitors and their parents could try their hand at lighter versions of classic strongman disciplines.
Children flipped smaller tires in Tireflip, lifted a child's quad in Cardeadlift, climbed stairs with appropriate weights in Power Stairs, and pushed a log overhead in Loglift. They also tried Atlas Stones with balls of different sizes and weights and there was also a playful Duck Walk with weights according to their abilities. Everything was of course safe and supervised.

A big thank you to all the competitors, organisers, spectators, and most importantly the sponsors and volunteers of this event - without them this charity and sporting event would not be possible. Last but not least, a big thank you to the Mayor Mgr. Kristýna Kubínová, who for the third time has made it possible to hold the event in the premises of the sports complex in Studnice. And finally, thanks to the man who for the third time prepared difficult disciplines for the competitors and donated the proceeds to the non-profit organization Asgent - Jaroslav Zámečník. From the reactions on social media from the competitors, we can judge that everyone is looking forward to the next year of the Studnicky Strongman competition and the Czech Republic Strongwoman Championship.
