Hafthor Bjornsson pulled 2x430kg in preparation for Rogue Invitational 2024!
Hafthor Bjornsson, known as "The Mountain" from Game of Thrones and one of the best powerlifters in the world, recently lifted a 430 kg (948 lbs) deadlift twice during training. This feat is part of his preparation for his return to strength competitions, specifically the 2024 Rogue Invitational. He used only a belt and snatches in this attempt, which makes this feat even more impressive since he had no other aids.
Bjornsson, who already holds the 2020 world deadlift record of 501kg, continues to prepare for peak performances and has regained the form he had before his retirement. This record in training shows that Hafthor is ready to compete with the world's best strongmen and possibly break his own again.
