Russian MONSTER Vitaly Ugolnikov goes for a pro card!

Perhaps the whole bodybuilding world is eagerly awaiting the Olympia Amateur Italy 2022 competition, where on the second weekend of October, among others, Slovak giant Michal "Križo" Križánek will be presented, who will fight for the opportunity to move to the IFBB Professional League of Jim Manion!

Few doubt his success, so everyone is convinced that Michal will soon be an IFBB PRO.

But Michal is not the only one who wants to move to the pro camp this year. There are many such fighters, and one of them is Vitaly Ugolnikov from Russia.

This only 25-year-old fighter, who became the absolute national champion last year, is also a very followed person in the bodybuilding world. No wonder. For his age, the monstrous fighter, just like the aforementioned "Križo", attracts attention with his strength and symmetry.

Vitaly, who has grown to a height of 175 centimetres and has gained 140 kilograms in volume, should, according to his words, present himself on stage in six weeks. However, he did not specify the name of the competition where he wants to fight for a move among the elite. A cursory glance at the NPC competition calendar suggests that it could happen on the first weekend of November in Spain, where the 2022 European Championships Pro Qualifier will take place.

However, it's also worth noting that there have been many Russian athletes in the past with high hopes. Let's mention for example the pair of Alexey Lesukov and Andrey Skoromnyy. These fighters were also, as far as their amateur careers were concerned, among the best to be seen. However, when they moved to the pros, their stars went down steeply until they were completely extinguished!

Moreover, Vitaly, although he is currently training in Brazil, is a Russian citizen, and as we know very well, due to the current state of war between Russia and Ukraine right now, sanctions are being imposed on Russian athletes in many sports and federations in the form of bans from competing. This also applies to the international federation IFBB.

However, the NPC, under whose banner Jim Manion is fighting to move to the IFBB Professional League, has not announced any such sanctions, but that doesn't mean it can't still happen. Such a fact would then, of course, be very unpleasant for Vitaly.

So let's be surprised where and if this Russian MONSTER will fight for IFBB PRO status.
