Just as the Mr. Olympia 2018 competition is coming up, the Olympia 212 Showdown 2018 is also getting closer and closer! Both of these competitions have been part of Olympia Weekend, the biggest event in the world of bodybuilding and fitness, for several years now!

As you already know from us, this year's Olympia 212 Showdown should be the very last one for James "Flex" Lewis, who recently announced that he has decided to move up to the heavyweight division!
And what better way to say goodbye to the competition than to dominate it again, for the seventh time, right!

Winning, and therefore a dignified farewell to the 212lb division is all that "Flex" cares about, but none of his opponents want to let him get it for free! This is doubly true for the pair of Kamal Elgargni and Derek Lunsford, who are also getting in shape for Olympia Weekend these days.

Kamal Elgargni managed to qualify for the Olympia Weekend right at the start of this season by dominating the prestigious Arnold Classic 212 2018.
This obviously makes him one of the favourites for the top spot. But will he be competitive enough for champion James Lewis? Let's wait a week or so for the answer.

Kamal Elgargni 9.5 weeks ahead of the 2018 Olympia 212 Showdown:

Derek Lunsford placed a great 5th place at last year's Olympia 212 Showdown, and this year he would not only like to move up, but his goal is to dominate the entire event!
We'll have to wait until mid-September, when Olympia Weeekend takes place, to find out if he can do it.

Apart from the above mentioned duo, other fighters, such as Samir Troudi, will of course take part in the competition. He did not qualify directly, but relies on the qualification ranking, in which he currently holds the leading position.
