James "Flex" Lewis will not be competing at Mr. Olympia this year!

The biggest draw of the entire season of the IFBB Jim Manion Professional League every year is the Mr. Olympia heavyweight contest, which is the most prestigious competition in the bodybuilding world!

The big attraction of last year's, and then this year's edition, was to be the participation of seven-time Olympia 212 Showdown winner James "FLEX" Lewis, who after winning his 7th title in 2018 decided to leave the 212lb division and head to the heavyweights!

However, he did not compete last year because he was dealing with a chronic injury in preparation for the event, and at the urging of his wife, and after consulting with his trainer Neil Hill and his doctors, he came to the decision not to step on the competition stage!

The whole year was spent waiting for Flex to really stand among the heavyweights, which was to happen at this year's edition of this most prestigious competition. Unfortunately, we won't see Flex on stage this time either!

This time let's not look for injuries behind this decision, which James brings in the following video, but for the move from Florida to Las Vegas, where Flex is moving his gym The Dragons Lair in addition to himself and his family. The second, and definitely more important reason, is to have another offspring!

Flex further states that no one needs to worry about hanging up their career. He still has plenty of energy, desire, goals and dreams! So we should see him competing at the next Olympia, by which time he hopes to have fathered another child.
