Sam Sulek defends his 'unhealthy diet': 'Take everything I say with a grain of salt'
Sam Sulek is quickly making a name for himself in the fitness community. While most are supportive of this up-and-coming bodybuilder, some remain unconvinced of his unique methods for achieving gains. In a recent video, Sam Sulek comments on the criticism he has garnered regarding his unorthodox diet.
At just 21 years old, Sam Sulek has earned millions of followers on social media by documenting his diet and exercise routines. His sheer size and incredible strength have taken the fitness industry by storm. Although he has many fans who express support for him, he has just as many viewers who don't approve of his ways as much.
Supporters suspect that Sulek is taking performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) to maintain his enormous size. Given his young age, there are concerns about the negative effects PEDs may have on his growth and overall development in the future.

Lee Priest isn't the only one who has come to Sulek's defense, Seth Feroce also discussed the negative comments Sulek has received after he drew attention to himself and stated that his attitude "works for him." Now Sulek is standing up for himself, admitting on YouTube the criticism he has received for his unconventional eating habits.
"I see a lot of comments:'How can he eat so much sugar and not have diabetes', dude, obviously I'm not going to speak to you specifically, but I want to go back to the two-state situation, like if I split into two alternate realities (he's probably referring to AS use), if I ate the way I eat now, I'd probably shit myself for eating what's called junk food," Sulek said.
In regards to why he thinks he can stick to such a sugary and calorie-dense diet, Sulek admits that his size and intense training play a big role in the way he eats.
"I'm sure I would just look like a parched fatty after a year of zero training and zero activity. In fact, I'm not even entirely sure I'd be unrecognizable if that happened, but there's a legitimate reason for the idea of burning shit.
Training, strength training, literally having more muscle, so you'll have a faster metabolism and you'll combine that with just being a bigger dude with hard training and cardio, which you should fucking just do"
Sulek explains that while he shares tips that can benefit others on their fitness journey, he also shares insights that only apply to him.
"Of course, all these things that I say, remember that sometimes I want to tell you things that you should follow, like when I talk about training intensity, daily cardio, and tracking macros. Those are the kinds of things I say directly to you. I tell you to do them because I know it's good for you and will lead to more progress.
Sometimes when I say this crap, I'm actually almost talking to myself in the past. I'm kind of going back to lessons that I've gone through in my own training that apply specifically to me and maybe no one else."
Sam Sulek acknowledges that what he has chosen may not work for everyone. He believes that trying different options and evaluating the results is the best way to determine what works for each individual.
