Muscles, Mountains, and Common Sense—Luboš Chládek Shows His Human Side!
In our last article, we introduced Luboš Chládek as the embodiment of brutal discipline. But what happens when this unstoppable workhorse steps outside the comfort zone of the gym? His recent posts reveal an unexpectedly empathetic side and a completely disarming sense of dark humor.
20 Years in the Gym and Empathy for Others
Today, slogans screaming at us from every direction tell us that we have to give it our all all the time. Luboš takes a different approach. Although he himself has been working out nonstop for an impressive 20 years, he doesn’t just preach toxic positivity. He openly admits that he understands people who lose their motivation and spark during tough times. He has a clear and compassionate message for them:
“Don’t give up on the things you love, though—and get back to life… back into the spotlight…”

Triglav: Sunday’s Hike Was a True “Survivor”
He put his steel-like mental fortitude to the ultimate test on a trip to Slovenia’s Triglav. What was supposed to be a 12-hour hike turned into 16 hours of hell after he sprained his ankle—just 40 minutes from the summit. If you’re expecting heroic Instagram epics about overcoming pain, you’re way off. Luboš serves up the unvarnished truth: immediately after the injury, he felt like throwing up and “literally shit himself (yeah, for real).”
Like a true “Tauren warrior from WoW,” he did manage to scrape his way to the summit, but by his own words, all he wanted to do there was commit seppuku with Mikov’s knife. The subsequent eight-hour descent was purgatory. And what kept him going? Not the prospect of a personal best or a medal, but pure pragmatism:
"In the end, I realized I have a daughter and a new car on order, so instead of the planned 5-hour descent, I suffered like a fool..."
Of course, there won’t be a video from the event, because filming was the last thing on his mind. Luboš Chládek shows us the most important thing: true strength in life lies in the ability to not give up when everything goes wrong, and to be able to laugh at yourself even in utter agony.
