Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford in training 3 weeks before Mr. Olympia 2023

Mr. Olympia's Hadi Choopan and his fierce rival Derek Lunsford recently teamed up for an FST-7 chest workout under coach Hany Rambod.

Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan are two of the best competitors in the bodybuilding world. American Lunsford is a former 212 Olympia champion who moved up to the Men's Open division in 2022. Choopan is also a former 212 competitor, but made the switch a few years earlier.

After a series of podium finishes, Hadi Choopan won the coveted trophy at the 2022 Olympia. Lunsford, who along with Choopan dominated the podium in his divisional debut, finished a close second. Together, the former 212lb division competitors changed the popular perception that size is the most important factor in winning competitions in the Men's Open division.

Derek Lunsford and Hadi Choopan train under the guidance of well-known bodybuilding coach Hany Rambod. After spending most of his competition training in his home country of Iran, Choopan has arrived in the U.S. where he will complete the last phase of his training.

Less than three weeks before the 2023 Olympics, Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford have joined forces to train under the watchful eye of Hany Rambod.
