Sheru Classic France Pro 2023 was dominated by Nathan de Asha! Check out the full results and coverage!

There aren't many options left to qualify for Olympia, and if we ignore the Sheru Classic France that took place yesterday, there are only two options left, the American Legion Sports Fest PRO and the Italian Olympus PRO. But to make matters worse, both competitions take place next Sunday and the competitors have to make a lot of calculations about which one they will participate in. As expected, the Sheru Classic thus offered a number of great bodybuilders who were willing to leave their best on the stand. As part of this report, let's take a look at how it went.

Pre-Competition Predictions

There were 15 competitors on the start list of the normally popular Open category, with the largest group being a foursome of Italian athletes led by Andrea Muzi, one of the possible contenders for the top spot. However, one could count on German giant Roman Fritz, who has already secured his first qualification for the Olympia, to try to prevent him. Another favourite, Theo Leguerrier, had the advantage of the home crowd and would definitely improve on his last year's result, when he didn't finish in the top 15 at Olympia. The paper favourite to win, however, was Nathan de Asha, whose eventual triumph would have opened the way to his 11th career professional victory and his third win this month, which is obviously incredible and reflects the unquestionable qualities of this competitor.

Open category

Two clear favourites for the victory crystallized already during the preliminary round. They were, as expected, Nathan de Asha and Theo Leguerrier, who this time showed first-class preparedness and made significant progress since his last performance. And although it was clear that this French rider would improve on his fourth place from Europa PRO 2023 last time out. No one, and judging by the length of some of the comparisons, not even the judges, were sure if it would be enough for Nathan, who of course also continued his beauty ride and once again showed off rounded and full muscles, with his quadriceps in particular absolutely standing out against the other competitors.

This is probably what earned him first place in the end, although he had of course already qualified for the Olympia. Second place went to the aforementioned Theo Leguerrier, with German pro Tim Budesheim taking third. Fourth place went to his compatriot Roman Fritz, who thanks to his triumph at the Bigman Spain PRO 2023 also already secured his qualification for Olympia. Rounding out the top five was Romanian Alfred Chiriac, who despite starting his career in the under 212lb category, showed that he has something to offer in the open heavyweight category as well.
