Nick Walker dominated the New York Pro 2025! Results and report
The New York Pro 2025, one of the most prestigious and anticipated professional bodybuilding competitions of the season, held on Saturday, May 17 in Teaneck, New Jersey, was marked by thrilling battles, surprising performances and, most importantly, a historic triumph. Nick Walker, nicknamed "The Mutant," was at the center of the action, not only defending his position atop the Men's Open category, but also making an indelible mark on the annals of this momentous event. The competition, hosted by promoter Steve Weinberger, was a key qualifying stop for the legendary Mr. Olympia 2025, and featured nine IFBB Professional League divisions.

Nick Walker entered the Men's Open category with huge expectations. Fans and pundits alike were eager to see if he could achieve a golden hat trick - his third win at the New York Pro after his triumphs in 2021 and 2024. After a close second place finish at the recent Pittsburgh Pro 2025, the New York stage was a clear mission for Walker: to win and secure a direct ticket to Mr. Olympia 2025. The pressure was considerable, but "The Mutant" is known for his mental toughness and ability to give maximum performance when it counts.
And indeed, Nick Walker dominated the stage at Teaneck. He displayed a breathtaking combination of massive muscle mass, incredible hardness and sculpting that left no one in doubt as to who deserves the title of champion. His final presentation was a display of bodybuilding excellence. His performance earned him not only a check for $30,000 and a prized championship ring, but more importantly, a coveted qualification to the October bodybuilding fest in Las Vegas. With this third victory, he became the only legend in New York Pro history to achieve such a milestone in the regal Men's Open category.
The battle for the other medal positions, however, was no less dramatic. Veteran William Bonac showed fantastic form. This two-time Arnold Classic champion, who even at 43 years of age amazes with his muscular quality and fullness, competed at the New York Pro for the first time, although he has held a professional card since 2012. His massiveness and overall preparedness deservedly earned him a silver medal and the admiration of the crowd.
Slovakian giant Michal Križánek took the bronze. Although some favoured Regan Grimes for third place, Križánek showed slightly better definition and sharpness in the final, which probably decided in his favour. This is another valuable accomplishment for Križánek on American soil, but he will have to wait until he wins another professional show to qualify directly for Mr. Olympia.
In fourth place was Regan Grimes. The Canadian, who dominated the 2018 New York Pro in the Classic Physique category, was hoping to become the first athlete to triumph in two different divisions at the show. While he fell short of a medal this time around, his performance was solid. Fifth place went to Sasan Heirati.
