Blessing Awodibu and Kai Greene at a joint shoulder training session

In the first half of this year's competition season, Irish bodybuilder of Nigerian origin Blessing Awodibu secured his participation in this year's Mr. Olympia competition, which will take place in mid-December, when he managed to dominate the Indy Pro 2022 competition.

Thanks to these successes, he has become even more confident than before, and we have heard from him, for example, that he will soon become Mr. Olympia!

This year, however, it will certainly not be yet. The clear favourites to win this year's Olympia are two-time winner Mamdouh Elssbiay and 2019 winner Brandon Curry. Others who definitely have the skills to fight for the top spots not only this year are Hadi Choopan, Hunter Labrada and Nick Walker, who were in the top 5 last year. However, there are enough who can also make a run for the top spots this year, next year or in the years to come, such as Samson Dauda, Andrew Chinedu, Nathan De Asha, Iain Valliere, James Hollingshead, Michal Krizanek or just Blessing Awodibu.

Blessing leaves nothing to chance, and a few weeks before his first Olympia, he surrounds himself with the real stars of the sport. You could say he goes to the most qualified people for advice!

For example, about 8 weeks before the Olympia, he met with Phil Heath, a seven-time Mr. Olympia winner, who gave him valuable advice on posing, assessed his current form, and also mentioned the shortcomings he still needs to work on.

Six weeks before the biggest bodybuilding festival, he met with Kai Green, the silver medalist from Olympia in 2012, 2013 and 2014, to discuss shoulder training.

In this case too, Blessing received some valuable advice that may help him in his further development.

You can also watch his leg training, where he was accompanied by Azerbaijani bodybuilder Bakhar Nabieva.

You can also evaluate his form, which he showed last weekend during an exhibition performance at the NPC Carolina 2022 amateur competition.
