Wings of Strength Romania Muscle Fest Pro 2020 - Slavoj Bednar overlooked again!

Bucharest, Romania, more precisely the premises of the cultural centre Face Convention Center, belonged to bodybuilding on Sunday, November 15. The third edition of the professional show called Wings of Strength Romania Muscle Fest Pro was held here.
On the stage there were battles for advancement to Olympia Weekend 2021, in the categories Open and up to 212 pounds.

Open category

A total of 13 heavyweights were on stage, including our own Slavoj Bednar and Slovakian Tomas Tabachar, both members of the Extrifitteam .
In addition to them, the judges were also introduced to Lionel Beyeke, from whose participation much was expected. After all, he is considered by many to be the fighter with the best shape of the current professional scene!

The semi-final started very interestingly for our Slavoj Bednar, who was selected by the judges immediately for the first semi-final comparison! This suggested that the competition could end with a fantastic success for our fighter!

Beside Slavoj, Regan Grimes, Mohamed El Emam, Theo Leguerrier, Boyan Ivanov and Vladislav Sukhoruchko posed as well. Later they were joined by the aforementioned Lionel Beyeke.

Bednar, with his full and hard muscles, who also offered impressive strength and excellent final readiness, was the worst competitor here, fighting for 5th to 7th place.
However, the judges kept him on the podium for the second call-up together with Beyek and Ivanov. This was already starting to smell of a battle for a top 10 finish.
But no one, not even Slavoj himself, knew that the judges would let him pose in the third call!
Without any break our fighter posed for fifteen minutes, which of course took its toll. The muscles started to lose their fullness, and due to considerable fatigue Slavoj could no longer strike all the poses accurately. Thus, in the eyes of the judges, just like at the recent Europa Pro Championships 2020, he fell outside the top 10.

Canadian Regan Grimes won his first victory among professionals. The bodybuilder, who boasts a minimum of weaknesses and a decent massiveness, has quite an interesting future ahead of him if he manages to use his potential.

Second place went to Vladislav Sukhoruchko from Ukraine. Only 24 years old, he was one of the best prepared fighters on the podium, even if his front stances were a bit better than his back ones. His Most Muscular was particularly breathtaking, but his posing was by a considerable margin. However, given his age, like Grimez, he has an excellent future ahead of him!

Third place went to Theo Leguerrier from France. Like Grimez's, his figure has a minimum of weaknesses, but unlike the Canadian, it is a little more subtle.

Fourth place was earned by Mohamed El Emam representing Russia, and another representative of France, the already mentioned Lionel Beyeke, also made it into the Top 5.

Slovakian bodybuilder Tomas Tabachar, who made his debut among the heavyweights here, finally reached a very respectable ninth place! As expected, he lost weight to many of his opponents, but in terms of form, he was clearly among the best prepared!

Categories up to 212 pounds

In the under 212lb division there were only six fighters, so they all fit into one single semi-final invitational. This was dominated from the start by Angel Calderón Frias, who was overly massive compared to his opponents.

No wonder Frias, like he did at the 2020 Europa Pro Championships and the 2020 Btitish Grand Prix, walked off the stage as the winner.
So it's pretty clear that he will be a force to be reckoned with in the battle for the top spot at the Olympia 212 Showdown 2020 in Las Vegas in December!

Second place went to Radoslav Angelov. He deserved the attention especially with his full and round muscles. His perfect control of his abdominal muscles, which adorned any of his frontal and side poses, did not escape the eyes of the judges!

The third place went to Nasser Sayed, who presented a balanced and symmetrical physique, which was also adorned with maturity and muscle density.

Results:

1. Angel Calderón Frias - qualified for Olympia 212 Showdown 2021
2. Radoslav Angelov
3. Nasser Sayed
4. Zoran Kolevski
