Wings of Strength Puerto Rico Pro 2021 - huge winner Akim Williams!

On 26th and 27th June, Puerto Rico, located in the Caribbean Sea, became the venue of another bodybuilding competition called Wings of Strength Puerto Rico Pro, where both representatives of the Open category and their lighter colleagues from the division up to 212 pounds fought on the stage.

We will take a look below, through a few lines, at how the representatives of the two named categories fared.

Open Category:

The heavyweights featured a total of 15 fighters, with American Akim Williams, for whom this was the first start of the season, and the Egyptian pair of Hassan Mostafa and Mohamed Shaaban, who have already been on the podium this year, looking to triumph. Mostafa has already managed to score two 3rd place finishes this year, from the New York Pro 2021 and California Pro 2021. Shaaban then scored a great 2nd place finish at the California Pro 2021!

This trio, together with the other trio of Andrea Muzi, Andrea Presti and Theo Leguerrier, presented themselves immediately in the first semi-final comparison.
When all three were then invited to the last semi-final comparison, it was obvious that they were the ones fighting for the triumph in front of the judges.

Akim Williams, who in many of his poses is more of a comic book character than a human being, finally overpowered his opponents with his strength and, surprisingly enough, with the amount of detail that had been his biggest weakness for many years! He thus scored his third professional victory, and it is worth noting here that unlike those at Wings of Strength Chicago 2020 and PBW Tampa Pro 2016, this triumph was absolutely the most convincing!

Akim has thus directly qualified for this year's Mr. Olympia competition, where he could be a hot candidate for a Top 5 finish!

Second place, just like at the Californoa Pro 2021, went to Mohamed Shaaban. He has been making unprecedented progress year after year, so it's only a matter of time before he starts winning one competition after another!

Hassan Mostafa managed to take third place, just like he did at the New York Pro 2021 and California Pro 2021. Here too he paid the price for his not so well put together physique.

Categories up to 212 pounds

While the heavyweight division featured quite a number of competitors, the under 212lb division was quite the opposite with only 4 names in the starting field!

This small starting field played into the hands of Guy Cisternin, who has six professional wins and seven Olympia Weekend appearances to his credit!
Unfortunately, his appearance was more like a retired fighter, so it was obvious that he would not have it so easy with three opponents!

It's no wonder then that Guy Cisternino had to settle for 2nd place in the end as he was deservedly beaten by Piotr Borecki!

The triumphant Piotr Borecki previously competed in the Classic Physique category, in which he last competed at the 2019 Olympia Weekend.
Since then, he has worked not only on his volume, but also on his lower limbs, which used to be his biggest weakness. Aside from that, he also offered excellent muscle hardness with a lot of detail. In his debut participation among bodybuilders, he not only scored his first professional victory, but also a direct qualification for this year's 212 Olympia!

Third place went to Boás Henrique, fourth place went to Milton Martinez, who celebrated his 53rd birthday on the very day of the competition!

Results:

1. Piotr Borecki - qualified for 212 Olympia 2021
