"When I saw him, I thought he could be the next Coleman," Jay Cutler remembers Cedric McMillan
Although it's been three weeks since professional bodybuilder Cedric McMillan passed away, many are still dealing with the loss today. The cause of Cedric's death is not yet known, as announced by his wife. However, whatever the cause of Cedric's death was, it has sparked a huge debate regarding banned substances playing a big role in the deaths of bodybuilders. But at the same time, Cedric's death announced to other athletes that they should be really cautious about using AS and take care of their health.
However, even the legendary Jay Cutler, who of course knew this great bodybuilder, spoke about McMillan. Cutler is a four-time Mr. Olympia winner. Cutler's victory at Mr. Olympia in 2006 ended Ronnie Coleman's eight-year reign.

"He was a good old boy from South Carolina. He was a big figure in our industry and he was someone people looked up to. He was one of the great aesthetic guys and probably one of the best figures we've seen in a while. It's just always very hard to achieve perfection. I remember when I saw him in the Nationals, I said to myself, this guy could be like the next Ronnie Coleman.
I'll just say what I think about all of this. You know, bodybuilding used to be for young men... Chris Dickerson won Mr. Olympia at 40. Of course, we saw Shawn Rhoden win Mr. Olympia at 43. I'm not saying you can't do it, but it's suggestive to be a competitive bodybuilder at this level into your 40s. I don't think so. I still think you should look at it as a game for younger guys. And I think that's why the view of Classic Physique is so appealing, because a lot of the top guys are in their 20s, right?"
