"We're not competing until May 10!" proclaims Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League.
TheIFBB Jim Manion Professional League has once again reacted to the situation surrounding the spreading Coronavirus pandemic, and so its leadership has proceeded to cancel all professional competitions that were scheduled to take place in the United States between March 16 and May 10!
As we know, the Arnold Classic Australia and Arnold Classic South America professional competitions were previously cancelled.
Official statement from Jim Manion:
With the ever-changing information regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the United States Government's decision, we have decided to CANCEL ALL scheduled IFBB Professional League and NPC League and IFBB competitions in the United States, beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 through Sunday, May 10, 2020. Some of these events will be postponed to a later date, while others will take place in 2021.
Check each promoter's website for updated information on specific events. We are very disappointed to have to cancel these events, but as always, the health and safety of our athletes, officials and fans is our top priority. Both the NPC and IFBB Professional focus daily on the latest information provided by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19.
We are currently preparing for ALL NPC and IFBB Professional League competitions scheduled in the United States after May 10, 2020 to go on as originally planned.
Nothing would make us happier than to see all of you on stage showing off your hard work!We will be continuously monitoring the daily information provided by the United States Government and the World Health Organization, as well as the Centers for Disease Control for each city and state of each promoter, so that we can respond to the measures given.
We know that information about Coronavirus (COVID-19) changes daily, and we are all concerned. We will continue to take those concerns into consideration.
Thank you all for your patience.

Also uncertain is the fate of the New York Pro, which is scheduled to take place on May 16. Three of our fighters - Milan Šádek, Pavel Beran and Slavoj Bednář- were planning to take part in it.
The organisers of the Olympia Weekend, which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas from 9 to 13 September, have also responded to the current situation. They have agreed with the management of the IFBB Jim Manion Professional League that competitors can fight for qualification until August 29, instead of the original August 3.
Below, you can check out the current form of some of the fighters planning to compete at the 2020 New York Pro.
Jonathan Delarosa 9 weeks before New York Pro 2020
Following in the footsteps of my brother Rafael Brandao, and continuing to work hard for whatever the season brings. I find myself ten weeks away from attending the New York Pro and praying that we can still bring our best. The work continues, and we three amigos, Rafael, Flex and I, promise to bring something special to the scene!

Hunter Labrada 9 weeks before New York Pro 2020
IFBB/NPC has suspended all professional and amateur competitions from now until May 10. The New York Pro is May 16, so the last reports I've seen say my show is still on.
Hunter Labrada 8 weeks before New York Pro 2020
Like here, gyms in Texas, where Hunter lives and trains, have been closed for the time being until April 3 due to Coronavirus spread precautions,
With everything that is going on right now, I feel very blessed and happy to say that I have been able to stay 100% on track as far as diet, training and cardio, and I have seen some pretty drastic changes over the next week.
Joe Mackey 9 and 8.5 weeks before New York Pro 2020
Not sure about the future, but if you enjoy the process, you will continue to move forward!
We are still working, critiquing and progressing day by day. Staying positive and focusing on what I can control!
Lucas Carroll 8.5 weeks ahead of New York Pro 2020
I'm not sure what's going to happen with my scheduled competitions because of all the commotion, but my coach and I have decided to act like the planet is going to keep turning.
Anyway, have fun and use your fucking head in situations where other people are panicking!
