Texas Pro 2021 - second win in a row for Iain Valliere!

Sunday in Texas belonged to the professional bodybuilders competing in Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League, in both weight classes, both the heavyweights from the Open category and their colleagues with a maximum weight limit of 212 pounds. This was the first year of the Texas Pro!

Open category

A total of ten fighters were on hand to battle the heavyweights, including the winner of the Wings of Strength Tampa Pro 2021 a week ago, Iain Vallier. He was the favorite to win here as well!

Many people blamed him for his participation, because according to them he robbed another competitor of a possible qualification for Mr. Olympia 2021. But if this was the approach, there would be few breathtaking fights!
After all, one of them took place here, between the aforementioned Vallier, the second man of the aforementioned Tampa Pro Patrick Clahar, and the home fighter Steve Kuck!

All of the above mentioned not only met in the very first semifinal comparison, in which they were joined by the trio of Hassan Mostafa, Mohamed El Emam and Martin Fitzwater, who was making his first start among the elite, but in the next round they were fighting in front of the judges for the placement in the Top 3!

Although Patrick Clahar was clearly the most decorated fighter on the podium with a lot of details, he looked much more subtle compared to the Kuclo, Valliere pairing, so it was obvious that he was not going to talk his way into the battle for the win.

Well presented on stage was home fighter Steve Kuclo, who offered a great amount of muscle mass. After all, the 14-kilogram difference compared to Vallier was obvious at first sight! His form wasn't bad either, but as the time on stage increased, it seemed to go away! And that's what made the difference!

The winner, just like a week ago at the Tampa Pro 2021, was Iain Valliere! He was able to offer not only better form than his opponent, but also a more pronounced X-shaped torso.

So, although Iain is assured of qualifying for Mr. Olympia 2021, he will appear on the podium one more time before it, at the second most prestigious event in the world, the Arnold Classic 2021, which will take place in Columbus on 25 September.

Steve Kuclo finished second. He was obviously hungry for the win and the ticket to this year's Olympia Weekend, but unfortunately he didn't get it.

He, like Iain, will wear a competition swimsuit to the 2021 Arnold Classic on September 25, but only the winner will qualify for this year's Mr. Olympia, and it's very unlikely that Steve will be the one to do it!
There will be some very strong competition on the podium, including Nick Walker, Roelly Winklaar, Sergio Oliva Jr. and William Bonac!

Also the second to fifth place fighters will get points for the qualification ranking, but only for Mr. Olympia 2022!

Third, as the above lines already showed, Patrick Clahar.

A great fourth place in his professional debut was achieved by twenty-four year old Martin Fitzwater, who headed among the elite after last year's NPC North American Championships, where he dominated the Men's Bodybuilding up to 102 kg category.
At the Texas show he showed off both impressive bulk for his age and a very pleasing shape!

The Top 5 was completed by Hassan Mostafa, who secured the second place in the qualifying rankings, and will therefore claim his first participation in Mr. Olympia.

Categories up to 212 pounds

In the starting field of fighters with a maximum weight limit of 212 pounds there were 13 fighters, of which Ahmed Wardany was a clear candidate for triumph. He finished second at the Tampa Pro 2021 a week ago, so he fixed his appetite there, plus he also secured his participation in the 212 Olympia 2021.
Not only was he the most powerful of the fighters on the podium, but he also offered excellent final readiness and symmetry.

Austin Karr was the runner-up. While his assets are his excellent thighs, he has little else to offer. If there was stronger competition, he would probably be in the same position as he was at Tampa Pro 2021, where he was tied for 16th.

Martin Gomez still managed to break into the Top 3.

Guy Cisternino won the last competition of his bodybuilding career in Texas. In our previous report from Tampa Pro 2021, where he took a split 16th place, which was his absolute worst placing, we said that as you can see, you can't stop age, and sometimes you just have to get to the end of your journey. As we wrote, that's what happened.
Guy said goodbye to his sporting career with a respectable 6th place.
