Slovak giant Igor Illés 8 weeks before Europa Pro 2020

On October 11, the 2020 Europa Pro Championships will take place in Spain, and in this season marked by the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic, it is the only European competition of Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League from which to qualify for this year's Olympia Weekend!

Since European bodybuilders have not been able to compete for Olympia qualification since many European competitions have been cancelled, and it is very difficult to travel to non-European countries or to the USA, the management of Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League has decided to make an extraordinary and unique rule adjustment.

The first three competitors from both categories will be able to qualify directly here, i.e. both the heavyweights from the Open category as well as their colleagues from the division up to 212 pounds!
The other categories that are part of the Olympia Weekend are similar, see picture above.

Although this is a very accommodating move, no European is guaranteed to make it to the Olympia Weekend, even if they qualify!
In fact, as long as the current restrictive measures against the spread of Coronavirus are in place in the USA, European competitors have little chance of travelling to the USA at all!

One of those who will be present in Spain is also Slovak giant Igor Illés! He made his very successful debut among professionals at the Bigman Weekend Pro 2018, where he won a fantastic 2nd place!

Below you can see the form he has about 8 weeks before the competition, at a weight of 125,5 kg.
