Olympia Weekend 2020 moves to December!

When we offered you Kai Green's current form on Monday, May 11, speculating about his possible start at this year's Mr. Olympia, we also informed you that there are two possible scenarios for this year's most prestigious competition in the world of professional bodybuilding.

• The first option, which was not very likely, was that the event would not take place at all this season.
• The second option, far more likely, was to move the spectacular event to the very end of the season.

As is now certain, the second scenario offered is the correct one!

In fact, Olympia Weekend President Dan Solomon made a statement on Monday, May 11, announcing that Joe Weider's Olympia Fitness & Performance Weekend 2020 will take place from December 16-20!

And it's not just the date that's changing! In fact, Olympia Weekend is changing the venue as well, and not just for this year's event!

It's moving from the Orleans Arena, where the event has been held since 2005, to the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas hotel resort and casino!
This complex is located in an area called the Strip, which is home to some of the largest hotels, casinos and entertainment resorts in the world. This makes it one of the most famous and iconic tourist destinations not only in the USA, but in the entire world!

As the date of the Olympia Weekend has been moved, so has the deadline for athletes to qualify for the event. The previous date was August 30.
A new date has not yet been set, but as Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League management has let it be known, they will be announcing it soon.
