Lebanon Pro 2019 - Fahad Zaid wins

On Saturday, April 20, something happened that is not quite a stadtart. In the Lebanese city of Jounieh, the Lebanon Pro 2019 competition organized under the banner of Jim Manion's IFBB Professional League took place, despite the fact that it was not on the official competition calendar at all!

The contest, organized by former professional bodybuilder and currently very experienced promoter Moe Elmoussawi, was announced only for bodybuilders with a weight limit of 212 pounds.

There were a total of 10 representatives of this division on stage, and every single one of them was from the Middle East. There were experienced fighters as well as complete rookies making their debut in the pro division.

It is a great shame that many of these fighters are among the absolute top of the current pro scene, but for political reasons they are unable to travel to the USA, where a number of competitions are held, including the Olympia 212 Showdown. Thus, even if one of these fighters gets a qualification for this feast of professional bodybuilding thanks to his triumph, there is little chance that he will be able to present himself there.

But now back to the Lebanon Pro. The trio of Ahmed Wardany, Jafar Ghaffar Nezhad and Fahad Zaid battled it out for the win here.

Fahad Zaid of Saudi Arabia, who is one of the fighters training at the Oxygen Gym in Kuwait, scored his first professional win here.
His strength was especially his perfect final preparation and the perfect "V" shape of his torso, which was accentuated by a very narrow waist. In addition, his muscles were hard, full and nicely rounded.
For now, Fahad had no problems with his vice-travel to the USA, so hopefully we will see him on the stage of the 2019 Olympia 212 Showdown in the fall, where he qualified with this triumph.

The runner-up was Jafar Ghaffar Nezhad, who notched up two wins during his debut season in the pro division last year, at the 2018 New Zealand Pro and the 2018 Fjji Pro. Unfortunately, however, he was unable to attend the Olympia Weekend due to the aforementioned US travel issues.
Jafar has put up very decent volumes, and decent form for this event. However, he was a bit behind the winning Zaid.

Ahmed Wardany, who finished third, was in the same shape as Jafar. He also looked more subtle than his rivals.

Apart from the representatives of the division up to 212 pounds, there was also a representative of the Open division, the winner of this year's prestigious Arnold Classic, Brandon Curry, who appeared as a guest with his exhibition performance. The video of this exhibition can be found at the end of the article.
