Jiri Tkadlcik won bronze at the European Ultimate Strongman Championship U105 in Poland
This season is really special for everyone. Due to the situation with covid-19, all kinds of sporting events are postponed or cancelled and so very often competitors have to change their plans. However, if the athletes can go to some races that have already been arranged in any way, it is, with exaggeration, a great holiday.
One of such competitions was also attended by our best strongman of the u105 category Jiri Tkadlcik, who on 29th of August tried to win the title of the strongest man in Europe u105kg of the Ultimate Strongman Association. Unfortunately, due to his injury he failed to do so, but he still won an amazing third place! Well done Jirko, congratulations!
Jirka commented on social media after the race as follows:
Bronze at the European Strongman Championships at 105kg in Poland. One of the hardest competitions for me, but not so much in terms of disciplines, but in terms of the huge self-denial I had to show. The pain that accompanied me from the first discipline I have not experienced for a long time. My knee, which I have been having problems with for a long time and has been extremely shitty for the last month, gave out sometime during the trunks at the first event, and it really cost me a lot of strength to finish the race at all.

It's even more awesome that it wasn't an outright bronze, but a split 2nd place, decided only by the number of disciplines won. I didn't have any forPrzemyslaw Marczewski this year, he rode like a machine and clearly won. And I'm looking forward to the last race - Static Monster, 20.9. in Ústí nad Labem, which will end this disgusting season that was ruined by covid.
