James "Flex" Lewis and Roelly "The Beast" Winklaar at a joint shoulder training session
James "Flex" Lewis and Roelly Winklaar are clearly two of the best bodybuilders in the world!
After all, the former, that is James "Flex" Lewis, has been the king of the 212lb division for six seasons now, having dominated the Olympia 212 Showdown six times in a row, and this year he is going to triumph at the event for the seventh time.
Roelly Winklaar, on the other hand, is one of the top men in the OPEN category, and last year he was able to fight his way to a sixth place finish at the Mr. Olympia competition. He would like to repeat this result this year, again in a very strong competition.
And since only the top 5 qualify for the next edition of Olympia, Roelly had to ensure his participation during this season. The Arnold Classic Australia 2018 served him for this purpose, which he dominated without any problems.
Both fighters are preparing for this year's Olympia Weekend, where they will each stand on a different stage for the last time. As you already know from us, "Flex" has decided to leave the 212lb division and give free rein to his potential in the OPEN category.
And given his qualities, it's only a matter of time before he, too, stands next to Roelly, Mamdouh Elssbiay or Phil Heath on the Mr. Olympia stage!
We recently brought you a video of their back training together. Today you can check out their shoulder training together, which took place about 9 weeks before the Olympia Weekend. After that workout, Roelly went to Kuwait to fine tune his form at the world famous Oxygen Gym there.
