Iain Valliere and James Hollingshead are considering retiring from bodybuilding!

Every year new competitors come to professional bodybuilding, aiming for the highest ranks and rejuvenating the old blood. But every journey has a beginning and an end, and it's only a matter of time before the athlete in question hangs up his swimsuit and retires from competition. But when a racer will be finished, no one can know. The legendary Dexter Jackson, for example , did not retire from racing until he was 50 years old at the 2020 Olympia.

However, much younger bodybuilders - Iain Valliere (31 years old) and James Hollingshead (33 years old) - have also started thinking about quitting. The first mentioned competitor comes from Canada, as well as the currently highlighted Regan Grimes. Iain, however, has been a pro since 2014. The following year, Valliere competed at the Toronto Pro Supershow, where he took an amazing fifth place! The Canadian's best result came by winning the highly prestigious New York 2020 event. However, in a recent interview Valliere stated that he is one of those racers who will retire from the professional scene at a younger age so that his health doesn't suffer unnecessarily at the expense of his racing ego.

English pro James Hollingshead echoes that sentiment and doesn't plan to be on the scene for too long. James is currently at the stage where he is trying to gain back the kilos he lost due to the covid James had last year and was even at the stage where he had to stop training for a while.

Apparently, Hollingshead has won the battle with covid and is back on track. However, as we mentioned, he doesn't plan on being on the professional scene for too long. On the contrary, he would like to end his bodybuilding career by the time he is 40.
