"The hardest work and the worst result": Josef Květoň honestly about EVLS Prague Pro

The recent EVLS Prague Pro brought, as usual, a top spectacle full of muscle and tension. While the main focus was on the battle of the giants, in which Martin Fitzwater sensationally defeated Samson Dauda to become the new king of Prague, the story of the Czech riders was equally important for the home fans. One of them, Josef Květoň, took away bittersweet feelings from the prestigious competition, which he shared with his fans.

On his instagram profile he wrote:

"A little look back at @evls_prague_pro_official. The race I did the absolute most for, and yet it ended with my worst finish in my pro career so far. I won't hide that I expected a slightly better result. But what the heck - wish and you will be wished. The guys and I had a great time at the staging area and I believe everyone brought their best version of themselves. It was an honor to race at home. My only regret is the different music for the free set. I wanted a massacre for you guys and was looking forward to it... Maybe next time."

These words full of honesty and disappointment accurately describe how thin the line between success and failure in professional bodybuilding is. Josef Květoň arrived on the stage in great shape, balanced and muscular, in his traditional sharp and hard condition. This earned him a second semi-final comparison and the hope of fighting for a top ten finish. In a packed competition that included recent Olympians, it was a solid performance that confirmed his qualities on the international stage.

Yet, by his own admission, he was aiming higher. All the more regrettable was a technical problem with the music for the free set, which prevented him from performing for the fans exactly as he had planned. Despite his personal disappointment with the result, however, his words ooze pride in the opportunity to race in front of his home crowd and respect for his rivals. It is these moments that show not only the strength of his muscles, but also his sportsmanship. Although this year has not been written in golden letters in his career, the determination and desire to show "massacre" next time give the fans hope for great things in the future.
