"Squatting 420 kg has never been easier. The strength is coming back faster than I expected," says Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson

Hafthor Bjornsson is widely regarded as one of the best strongmen and strongmen of all time. He emerged from Europe in early 2010 as a promising strongman. Since then, Bjornsson has racked up 30 international victories during his decade-long career. These include the prestigious title of World's Strongest Man (2018) and several world records.

Bjornsson recently showed off a 380kg (837.7lb) squat on Instagram, and then squatted 420kg using only knee pads and a belt. Bjornsson also let it be known that he will squat 1,102.3lbs (500kg) by the end of the year.
