Sam Sulek is going to compete! When will he take the stage for the first time?

Sam Sulek is a name that divides the bodybuilding community into two camps. His supporters see him as a motivation for many (especially younger) athletes, while his detractors argue that he doesn't exactly set a good example with his performance. Nevertheless, this American influencer is one of the most followed personalities in the contemporary fitness world. However, according to the latest information, it looks like Sam doesn't want to end up making videos about eating 5000 kcal a day and doping. In fact, he recently talked about his competition ambitions and gave an indication of when he might take the stage.

In his videos, Sam has spoken quite openly about many things - from doping to not-so-traditional eating habits to training. However, he's avoided the question of whether we'll ever see him compete until now. This time, however, the 22-year-old bodybuilder has answered directly and many fans are supporting him in his journey. Contrary to popular belief, however, he is not going to enter the open category, but the classic physique category.

Classic physique is one of the most interesting categories at the moment, only because the reigning star Cbum is openly talking about his departure and although many experts expected Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz to fight for his place, As the Arnold Classic in Ohio, USA and subsequently the Arnold Classic UK showed, there are a number of athletes who are already grinding their teeth for their moment of glory, including the impressive Wesley Vissers who dominated both of these events.

"Yeah, so my current plan is to join Classic Physique. I keep hearing that I'm trying to gain mass for the open, but remember, you really need to gain a shitload of mass for the open. I think I'm pretty big, but whenever I train with the pros in the open, I tell myself I still have room to grow. So I definitely want to start in the classics, but if I get big enough to not fit in the category, I'll just move up."

Sulek outlined in an interview at the Arnold Classic UK. He also went on to outline in the interview, among other things, that he would like to see himself on the competition stage in about a year to a year and a half. And if his form and health hold out, he certainly has a lot of potential not only in this category. Maybe even enough to eventually be one of the TOP bodybuilders in this category. So we can only keep our fingers crossed that everything will work out.
